Well, my current record is set on the Gen2 at a speed of 192kph when i was driving back to PJ from KTN on the East Coast E'way (two years ago though)... Too bad i didn't have a camera with me at the time...

However, in recent times, my fastest has been around the 130-140kph mark... Normally these times are clocked on the less-congested highways like the NKVE and Shah Alam Expressway (the stretch to Klang)...

Not too sure actually... Maybe during the festive seasons?

And btw, i didn't mean the Federal Highway, i was talking about the New Klang Valley Expressway from Damansara to Bkt. Raja... That tollway has a speed limit of 110kph as compared with the Fed's 80kph... Furthermore, the traffic towards Klang and after the KLIA turnoff is lesser than the busy Damansara-Kelana Jaya stretch... Thats y such speeds can be achieved!

Thats the problem here... How to take shots of us doing our fastest speed when there is no one to take the pix? Taking it ourself is possible, but dangerous!

Wah, u were lucky there, garfie... Looks like the cops are now very strict in enforcing the rules throughout the Ops Sikap... Better don't play-play with our top-speeds too frequent nowadays!

Wow, in other words, the manual Gen2 is definitely more powerful than the auto one... I always find it hard to catch up with cars like Merc, Beemer, or even a fast-moving Celica whenever they are also running fast...

True true... I think for a Gen2 to hit 200kph, it will take around 1/2 minute or more?

I guess that explains y the Gen2 is so weak in 0-100kph... This car has to be revved-up steadily and slowly until the engine is powerful enough to really run... Good points there, shackks!

But seriously, with regards to Proton cars, my fastest-speed records were set by two of these... My first one was Putra, when i set a 180kph speed while traveling on the NKVE from Klang back to PJ... The Beemer knocked the record at 182kph and in the end, the Gen2 topped them all with a 187kph...

So this shows that Proton cars really can run, albeit both are the more sporty or powerful engine models (Putra and Gen2 respectively)!

Serious ah, eng? I haven't really sat in an Iswara traveling at that sort of speed actually... Wira maybe, but not Iswara...

Wah, the speed our friend generalwh did on his camry is really quick... Obviously u were going to the airport to pick someone up lah, unless u were a bit late and had to rush eh?

Whoa man, never knew u could hit such a speed on a stock Waja... Amazing! But on the KLIA highway still ok as its a rather "quiet" highway when compared with the congested LDP (190kph on this one, then i really respect u man! )...

Well, thats what i did when on the way back from Kuantan on the East Coast E'way... I did a gradual acceleration process that resulted in the speedometer hitting the really high levels and maxing out at 187kph...

(OT) Blitzone? Which day are u referring to? I was in the area a few times this week but alternating between ProX and Blitz...

Hehehe, and i was thinking how this guy can actually max-out his speedometer until it crossed the last digit!

Wah, how did the driver ever hit that type of speed? Won't the engine go bonkers because of this?
