well, it started occurring after i played games for more than 3-4 hours (The Evil Within).
It constantly restarts after a few hours of gaming.
I brought my whole PC to the shop where I bought it from to take a look.
The person told me is GPU overheat issue which isn't normal, so they sent the GPU to RMA for a month.

After I got it back, I tested it out with Heaven benchmark 4.0 and CPUIDHWMonitor. Everything was fine so I started playing a game (Diablo 3) as a start off to test my new and improved GPU. Not long after I play, with runs on 60fps, my desktop restarts itself again. Now at this point I thought it was my GPU overheating, so i run the test again with heaven benchmark, but at 70-88 celcius running for 20mins+ the comp doenst restart itself.

So i switch back to my old GPU and played Diablo 3 and with no issues or comp restarting.
Now I dont know whether this time it is my GPU issue or not but from the looks of it, it seems like my GPU is the issue. I am really frustrated as I dont know what's wrong with my desktop, and I have spent a lot for this new desktop. I really hope someone can help me or have faced this issue before and can give any advice. cry.gif

Leadtek is a cheap brand, you know that right?

Asrock (motherboard) is also a cheap brand, if you have overclocked your system, my advise - not to do that

p/s I am not saying cheap brands are not good, BUT they might has stability problem in future ...

try turn off the option 'automatically restart' in your system to check if there is occurence of bsod's.

I think you have already identified the problem through your own experiments. Since the issue points to your GPU, the only way to be sure is by testing your 970 on another PC. If the same problem arises, then there is no doubt the GPU is faulty.

I suspect is graphic card overheat ... have you notice only when play games it will auto-restart but not normal windows usage?

Try to re-install the graphic properly, clean it or something.

Try to turn off auto restart and dump the failure log as suggested. That will tell you whats wrong.

I also think it's overheat. Cool it off a bit.
