I cancelled this hl wise card in January to avoid paying the fees. Is it wise to try to reapply?
Only thing is the minimum 50 spend which is achievable but a hassle to track

yeah, now they are actively calling back those who cancelled their hlb wise plat one year ago, to reinstate their card but downgrade to gold by offering same first year af waiver and 50% off from first swipe capped at rm80.

They called me and told me the exact same terms
No harm accepting since the gold annual fee is 160 after the first year
The question is why? Why are they calling back ppl who have cancelled their plat card earlier?

It's a good card. Just that to keep track of spending is a hassle
Not to mention the non waiver of af
Other than that rm50 per swipe is easier to achieve now with the increase in prices

If buying electrical goods in hypermarkets, but there is a special counter to make payment, will it be under the grocery category?
I know it depends on the merchant code... Just wondering if hypermarkets change their codes at different payment counters

Not really, I've encounter once swipe at the dispenser but get rm0 cashback.
But this situation are very very rare.

If like this any avenue to complaint?
I just got my bill and realize that I spent at giant but not put under groceries
But mine is the first swipe and earn 50% rebate, max rm80

what's your chosen categories? for the first swipe 50% not so soon reflect in your statement compared to the 10% i believe.

Categories are groceries and fuel
I just feel surprised that for giant there is no category as it is a Giant hypermarket

if i only spend up to 1000 for only 2 categories, still can get the 10% cashback right?

no need to spend on all 3 categories right?
*
Yes. That is my understanding of how it works
As long as meet minimum criteria of rm50 x 10 swipes before 28th of each month

I received the letter and SMS, too.
Are we supposed to wait for the branch to call?

I hope all of u get the cards soon so that you can begin your journey to get the rebate. So far best in the market. If u meet its terms and conditions... Which is not too difficult
