Cards that offering suc protection are run by their insurance subsidiaries.
I read the T&C before(for MBB2 2 card's platinum), no doubt I can "claim" everything but after reading the exclusion parts, it is almost impossible to claim. Like I can claim flight delay, does delayed 1 hour considered as delay? For me yes, but the exclusion part is, I can only claim after 4 hours doh.gif

I read Hong Leong Matta Card got but i cant seem to find Matta Card thread in here. I am wondering how it's activated. Cause am planning second trip to Aussie but thought if CC can cover my travel insurance than I might not need to get AA's Travel Insurance when i purchase the ticket.

For the full policy, i suggest you to request from the bank directly. My 2 cents, both the CC linked insurance and AA travel insurance are not comprehensive.

Herm.. i know but just some protection for just in case i guess...

It is auto cover once you put your butt in the plane's chair laugh.gif

Heard that you will be protected, seems like you are protected, but you are not protected whistling.gif
Just a question, does MH17's victim next of kin can claim the insurance?
*
Herm... i read AA clauses n insurance policy last time i took... not that bad mah.. claim wise i not sure la

QUOTE(cdspins @ Jul 23 2015, 08:16 AM)
AA insurance covers very minimal and only covers anything related to your flight, once you are off the place and get your luggage, that's it.
CC travel insurance is more extensive and depends on your credit card type, may even cover house content when you are away, accidents that happens during your travel and etc
Lastly own travel insurance is the best as all the details is listed but you need to pay on your own.

But do note that for baggage delay, damage, medical and etc... this claim can only be claim once even though you may have more than 1 insurance coverage. Only death claims, then next of kins can claim from multiple

AA insurance now covered also when u landed leh.. they cover the duration you're in the travel country.

Insurance claim is something we need to avoid.
Like MH17's case, even you can get USD1B also no point, since you lost your love ones cry.gif
*
yeah la sure hope no need to claim unless for flight delay or luggage lost kinda claim la...

Checked the policy, it need to be delayed for 4 hours only can claim doh.gif

My flight from Shenzhen to KL in December 2013 was delayed by 3 and half hours.

When I returned to KL, I checked my Tune Insurance policy to discover that only a delay over 3 hours is entitled for claim and under M2C Amex Platinum delay over 4 hours. I found it quite unreasonable.

What follow suits is the claiming procedure with Tune which is quite troublesome. After a long 3 months and a series of followup, I was entitled to a meagre compensation.

Seriously would rather choose not to stuck in the plane for 3 and half hours. My plane would have arrived at 1am but instead arrived at 5am in a total zombie mode.

That's really bad. Well at least claimable although a bit.
