Malaysian Armed Forces buys $12 Million USD worth of Belgian-made FZ-90 rockets


Inert version of FZ-90 rockets in SANDF service

The Malaysian government has concluded with Malaysian Destini Prima a contract for the supply of FZ-90 70mm unguided rockets totaling 40 million ringgit ($ 12.3 million). These munitions were developed by the Belgian company Forges de Zeebrugge and will be manufactured in Malaysia under license.

In addition to the rocket itself Malaysian Government also ordered the rockets pods to be used with the rockets. The Malaysian Armed Forces plans to equip the new ammunition for its F/A-18 Hornet and BAE Hawk fighters.

Thai military to deploy latest locally-built MRAP vehicle to help patrol restive Southern Thailand provinces



After testing the vehicle for the last three months, the Thai military is ready to deploy the locally built Phantom 380-X MRAP vehicle to help it control the restive and often rebellious provinces of Southern Thailand. There has been a recent upstick in attacks directed towards Thai military forces by suspected separatist forces.

The three Southern Thailand provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat is home to a Malay Muslim majority who is seeking autonomous rule from the Thai central government in Bangkok.

Probably also fighter with the lowest cost to operate in TUDM.

Wonder why we never got more than 20 last time. AFAIK we only bought 18 Hawk 208 fighters & 4 Hawk 108 trainer planes , nowadays all probably only 13-14 left in service.
