QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Jun 1 2015, 04:30 PM) Malaysian Armed Forces buys $12 Million USD worth of Belgian-made FZ-90 rockets Inert version of FZ-90 rockets in SANDF service The Malaysian government has concluded with Malaysian Destini Prima a contract for the supply of FZ-90 70mm unguided rockets totaling 40 million ringgit ($ 12.3 million). These munitions were developed by the Belgian company Forges de Zeebrugge and will be manufactured in Malaysia under license. In addition to the rocket itself Malaysian Government also ordered the rockets pods to be used with the rockets. The Malaysian Armed Forces plans to equip the new ammunition for its F/A-18 Hornet and BAE Hawk fighters. If the company is creative enough, we can make a MLRS off this thing.

QUOTE(ks1230 @ Jun 1 2015, 07:14 PM) Guys, Rumors are saying that RMAF is keeping the mig-29n after all.. Airod, in partnership with Sukhoi technical team, has offered MiG-29 life extension program (MiG-29NM), which includes engine replacement, new MFD and CFT that will increase its range up to 30% and makes it compatible with Su-30MKM. We still need MiG-29 to make up the numbers

China 125mm high velocity gun. Can be used as tank gun, SPH and towed artillery. The same approach that the Nazi germany did with its FlaK 88

QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Jun 17 2015, 03:15 PM) Thai military to deploy latest locally-built MRAP vehicle to help patrol restive Southern Thailand provinces After testing the vehicle for the last three months, the Thai military is ready to deploy the locally built Phantom 380-X MRAP vehicle to help it control the restive and often rebellious provinces of Southern Thailand. There has been a recent upstick in attacks directed towards Thai military forces by suspected separatist forces. The three Southern Thailand provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat is home to a Malay Muslim majority who is seeking autonomous rule from the Thai central government in Bangkok. It's Thailand-Malaysian Joint venture MRAP afaik. We should get this for Esscom. That way we can release AIFV and AV-8 for purely conventional deployment

I don't see why people here doesn't rate Mig-29. With proper upgrade it can be a very potent platform.
Among the proposed upgrades(which is being done by both Airod and Sukhoi) -New Radar -MFD cockpit -30 percent more range via CFT -New, updated engines -land strike capability
Besides when the new MRCA is being acquired, the Migs will fill F-5 role as secondary fighter.

QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Jun 24 2015, 11:11 PM) Probably also fighter with the lowest cost to operate in TUDM. Wonder why we never got more than 20 last time. AFAIK we only bought 18 Hawk 208 fighters & 4 Hawk 108 trainer planes , nowadays all probably only 13-14 left in service. 18 trainer, 8 light fighter.
