from business perspective...

-need a gigabit BTU
-need a gigabit router on WAN port

and it doesn't come cheap...

either user pay ... meaning higher upfront cost
or free to user meaning higher fee every month
and the take up... how many months to wait to cover up all the cost...

i prefer 30 Mbps is the new 5 Mbps..

so it should be like this 30,50,100 for right now.

BTU is some shit term came out from TM. ONU is the real and official term for a device that translate fibre optic connection into data signals.

Solution: OpenVPN provider + TOR/I2P (although the second bit should not be for BT, but other forms of P2P should not be too de-anonymising)

I seriously doubt that the Singapore government does not know that is happening.

Have your heard stories of proton's being cheaper in UK then in Malaysia?  tongue.gif

If the average bulk leasing price is higher for SG.
Y are customers in SG getting a freaking bargain with M1 and not us?
(M1 might be getting a fiber leasing deal through Kazana. Kazana renowned for insider trading.)

Even if its at a lower average bulk leasing rate/price,
it would answer how/why it can be cheaper in SG.

I think one of the major issues with the pricing in Malaysia is the fact that TM has a monopoly on the backbone infrastructure and leases out to the other players. Although I do believe Time has their own...
