Calling all hardcore WoW players!
As topic, why WoW? I'm trying to convince my friends to try this game, and FYI, they are fans of DotA. sweat.gif

Exactly!

And to lure them in further, tell them you can give them 10 days FREE worth of playtime. Works like a charm everytime tongue.gif (just don't tell them the free 30days you'll get after they upgrade or they'll expect somehting in return rofl)

Good point. If your friends are poor sons of b****es, don't get them hooked. WoW is a privilege, not a right. tongue.gif

Really depends on your lifestyle. For me, WoW is entertainment at RM50++ per month. With WoW, I don't go clubbing, drinking, karaoke and all those entertainment as much. I think go sing K 2 times also finish your WoW monthly payment.

It's a different story if your "entertainment" is like collecting stamps and stuff la... laugh.gif

I hooked 2 ppl so far

1st show them the game play.

Then burn them a dvd plus the addons for noobies, (like sctd, titan)
give them 10 days trial account. (well, if u can trust just use own cc to verify.)

Then wait for him to join your club... (and get his lifeblood started to be drained by the game)

On the process i encounter 1 thing, now u can buy online directly in the "account manager" if the account created using friend to friend trial code. The last time i did the site says USD39.99(cheaper then retail stores) but at the end my card was only be charged for USD19.99. That's woot!

When Shitemyx was still reliable, playing WoW was still good and fun at home. Everything turns for the worse when AQ was released. The latency starts deteriorating day by day to the point I can't spam IAE in Suppression room as I will always be disconnected 6x on average.

I just can't play in a cybercafe as the cost really adds up!

Just pass the trial to them and see how it goes. SOme of them will get hook to it and start playing and most liely they will forget bout dota.
Those who complained that they don't wanna pay so much for it monthly will be left out and sooner or later they prolly join you guys as well
