he already got his opportunity then but he (or maybe his parents/guardian/mentor) did not want to follow it.

the thing is,how the society treats him as some kind of extraordinary child and all the hype toward him make him feel that he is very special.i think that is how he come out with such statement(u know la kid, when everyone keep praising u say u genius,gifted la yada2,then u start to think that u have extraordinary power or something) or maybe there influence from the adults most probably his parent that told him to make such statement.
the fact that he did discovered the technique at that age is considered something already.the problem is he was born at a wrong family and at the wrong place.maybe and just maybe with a a right channel and a proper guidance he may truly become somebody.despite the fame and everything, kesian him oso,while most kids at his age undergo a normal childhood,he was involved with all this mess that created by the adults.
