Bought the U2515H but can't seem to be able to get 2560x1440.
Could it be because I'm using HDMI output from my Asus 5450 display card ?

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 18 2016, 05:25 PM) It could.. For capable Nvidia cards, one needs to create a manual profile to force the extra resolution. Try that. I'm not very good with IT :-(I'm using a ASUS 5450 Graphic Card, can share how to create "manual profile" also will it damage the Card or Monitor in the long run ? Why isn't this profile available/included in the 5450 Graphic Card - low end ? Thanks. This post has been edited by zerko: Apr 19 2016, 10:24 AM |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 19 2016, 03:44 PM) Did some light reading and as far as I can tell, the ATI Radeon HD 5450 (1GB) graphics card can support up to a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600, but possibly only through DVI. HDMI goes up to 1920 x 1080p. That's my graphic card. But as the U2515H does not have a DVI input, I use HDMI and the highest available is 2048 X 1152 which I'm using(shown in Catalyst Control Center desktop properties).Source. That's why I'm confused. Is it my Graphic Card limitation or HDMI limitation ? I tried email to Dell but the reply was no help. I've gotten to accept this resolution until I saw this thread and decided to try my luck. :-) This post has been edited by zerko: Apr 19 2016, 07:19 PM |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 19 2016, 07:35 PM) Can you confirm your HDMI cable's version? Also, check around the AMD catalyst control center for manual display resolution configurations. See if you can create a custom resolution. Not sure about the version for HDMI cable - got it from one of the Apple Store and its genuine. Will look around for manual display configuration in Catalyst. Thanks. |
