Communicate with PRC without mandarin is like don't speak kelate to kelantan pipul, sometimes they work but that doesn't mean you lose out nothing.

And no, the world don't only revolve around English just for your information.

For some powerful and dominant country like Russia and so on, they just don't bother to promote their things in English. It also do apply on countries like Japan and Korea, you don't hear they purposely translate Jpop/Kpop to you.
