Seeing as the MacBook Pro just got its specifications bumped up, you might as well go for that. Gaming? The MacBook isn't going to hold up to the latest and greatest. If you're running games that are two or three years old, go for it. I intend to go for a dual-boot machine once I get my MBP.

My reasons for using Windows are:

1. Compatibility with Microsoft. Either at work with an Exchange server (although Entourage for Mac works very well as long as your Exchange server runs the 2003 version). Also for compatibility with Miicrosoft Windows Mobile (although PocketMac and TheMissingSyncPPC are 3rd party add-ons that require additional funding).

2. Games. At present I'm playing Company of Heroes and Battlefield2142. Mac gaming even with the right gaming hardware is pretty dismal.

To me those are pretty compelling reasons to keep two computers on my desk. That and a weakness for 733t hardware.

I need Windows to test my web designs. They
tend to look slightly different on a Mac.
