I think they usually come from other pets. Once gerbils get the mites, apparently its very hard to get rid of them.

i also newbies in this metropolitan town...
i started exploring the town seriously when i keep rabbit and being a member of this forum..
then i started to merayau rayau as a lone ranger to find petshops hehehe...
from gombak to petaling street,then to pudu jalan pasar..then midvalley bangsar..not forget great eastern mall..the latest animal medical centre in jln tun razak...all i go by bus and lrt heheh...after this i also want to explore petaling-subang-damansara area...ikano..ikea..etc..but too far from my place heheh

I oso not really sure... i just assumed... cos woodshavings can have mites, so wooden toys might have mites too... hehehe... My gerbils use the flower pot as toilet

They got poo inside la... but they also sleep and roll in it..not sure they pee it in or not..haha...later hav to check. The problem with these stuff is sometimes they use as both toilet and bathhouse

Yalo, I took my wheel out to make space..now got a box full of unused toys, hahahaha.... although I got few tanks of gerbils, but mostly already full of toys

Actually it's quite high one d... but the gerbils keep on digging the woodshavings at the corner of the tank and all the woodshavings go underneath the coconut, thus it looks like the coconut is touching the ground d... hahhaha

oh i c hahahhahha then put higher lah hahhahahaha make them CLAIM up hahha

Ok... later put higher, let them taste the height of Everest, no more Kinabalu liao... MUahahahahahha
