QUOTE(angel-girl @ Apr 26 2017, 03:01 PM) X34A had much lesser light bleed than X34, my unit not noticeable unless you purposely look hard enough, or use monitor under really dark room. I would say dont worry on 'A'. Also according to my reading, ultra wide are difficult to escape light bleed completely.QUOTE(starz92 @ Apr 26 2017, 06:08 PM) just found out on wide screen monitor concept. QUOTE(Someonesim @ Apr 26 2017, 02:35 PM) Initially said Q2 2017 but some source said delayed indefinitely. Just get X34A as long you're getting the revision version 'A'. The "bad OSD menu" issue is not really an issue unless you're the type who likes to fiddle with the settings constantlyX34A solved some old issue ( no swivel stand, bad QC ) but some issue remain ( bad OSD menu ) QUOTE(angel-girl @ Apr 26 2017, 03:01 PM) QUOTE(gabriel.l @ Apr 26 2017, 03:31 PM) I won't exactly say it is BLB but it is more of a case of IP glow, typical of IPS panels |

Currently using Dell 29" ultrawide and 2x 21" standard samseng monitor at the sides. wanna get/replace the 29" with a 34", but still wanna use the 29". don't mind ditching the 2x 21" samseng monitors la. and also don't mind buying more than 1.
but I'm more concerned on the setup. if the 34" UL has active displayport like my current dell that I can daisychain with then easy la. anyway how would the monitors layout be? 34" above the 29"? 34" in the middle, 29" vertical at the side, 21" 16:9 at another side? suggestions please |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Apr 29 2017, 01:51 PM) stacking sounds interesting but how would the monitor stand be like? got a particular brand? don't feel like spending 1/3 of the monitor price just to hold the monitors.....also got recommendation on a good 34"? I prefer - active dP - USB 3s at the side and/or bottom - more inputs like hdmi would be better but not really important - if got center speaker better. if not, does anybody know where can get dell's? |

X34A have: display port USB hub at back ( cable looks hidden ) Have HDMI ( but limited to 60Hz only ) Got build-in speaker ( bull-shit DTS certified ) dont bother use it |

I used the speaker for general web browsing, if I don't want to use my earphones, which is kind of convenient. The DTS caused sound to distort, so I didn't use that, just the normal Stereo sound.

X34A about 4.7K, if you can get Dell at below 4K, I think it's good choice for normal use. Monitor arm got many setup type, can search online. |
