QUOTE(sai86 @ Aug 7 2018, 10:22 PM) Ultra wide - 3440 instead of 2560. = more space than my current 27" 2nd, 4k gaming = SLI, single 1080ti not going to make it. and also, SLI driver/profile is not widely support by dev/gpu maker. this UWQHD is much easier to support for my gpu while having the ultra wide screen. after google around, i'm going for the Asus instead. the Alienware 34" is really like hitting jackpot and somemore the stand connect to monitor is very weak. I thought Acer has released the later Z35P? It is VA panel though, not IPS like X34 and Asus PG348. Yes, Asus PG348Q is really superb!! Been using it for few months. Although if its size is 38" ultra-wide and refresh rate at 144Hz then would be PERFECT!!! This post has been edited by Cynox: Aug 8 2018, 09:29 AM

QUOTE(nateberuk @ Oct 16 2018, 04:08 PM) Hi all. Is there any budget ultrawide monitor that support 144hz. I prefer 1080p instead 4k as i only use gtx1080. Thanks The most tempting deal i bump into recently - LG 34UC79G. Specs: <<link>>. Too bad 1080p is not my cup of tea. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(nateberuk @ Oct 16 2018, 11:25 PM) Thx for the recommendation. Whew i thought i can get under 1k but i was wrong It is better to get the bigger size. For me, 34" is minimum for ultra-wide. 29" is really too small. just start saving now. By the time you have RM2,000 or so, there may be even better option available.

QUOTE(Vincent6596 @ Apr 20 2019, 09:41 PM) i do need some suggention. currently i am using 1 24inch 1080p and 1 19inch square monitor. now planing to upgrade 1 big monitor, but still on decide to select 27 inch qhd 1440p monitor or 34inch curve uw 1440p monitor ?? coz i want to upgrade to bigger monitor for daily use like gaming, movies and dramas. mostly playing game is: PUBG, Apex legends, Assassin creed, DMC 5 and some other MMORPG game. of course 34" ultrawide 1440p is the better choice if you have the budget.

QUOTE(Vincent6596 @ Apr 26 2019, 04:58 PM) are u currently using 34 inch ultrawide monitor? Yes, I am using Asus 34" PG348Q at the moment. Looking to upgrade to 38" or larger ultra-wide. My previous monitor is Dell 30" 16:9 monitor. So the UW 34" looks not enough height for me. I think 38"-42" UW 1440p will be perfect. QUOTE(craxors @ Apr 26 2019, 05:09 PM) honestly to say... even 1080ti cant do >100fps on 34" 1440p UW...  Can lah, if you do not set everything to ultra. I am playing Apex Legend on normal setting (1080Ti), get slightly more than 100fps constantly. This post has been edited by Cynox: Apr 26 2019, 05:32 PM

QUOTE(craxors @ Apr 29 2019, 01:24 AM) but we buy thing to fully utilize its.... changing some setting will not impact your visual much actually. Or you can just upgrade to GTX2080Ti. there is always something better coming every few months. Radeon VII is coming very soon. Monitor can last for few years, so GPU tech will catch up fast to let you fully utilise it.

QUOTE(craxors @ Apr 29 2019, 09:32 AM) GTX1080 or GTX1080Ti? I think my GTX1080Ti is quite ok for 1440p ultra-wide between high and ultra, depending on what game. Eventually 2080Ti prices will drop when newer gen GPU is out, sure can get later.

QUOTE(ssxxcool @ May 1 2019, 10:06 AM) Anyone can share your experience with acer x34p? Heard a lot bad reviews mainly backlight bleed and ghosting. After read reddit i wanna buy aw3418dw but rm3.3k compared to rm5k is too much for basically almost same features except warranty service. How is acer warranty? Not considering Asus PG348Q? Also almost identical panel as both of these 34" UW.

QUOTE(cepoi @ May 2 2019, 01:27 PM) Hello, Which one should I get. LG29WK600 or Acer VG 270? PC mainly used for gaming(70%) and work(30%). Gaming : PUBG, CSGO, Assassins creed, Division 2 Work : CATIA, Excel, PPT. Btw my pc spec ryzen 2600 + rtx2070. Thank you in advance for your comment and suggestion. Why not consider Acer ED273A? 144Hz FreeSync. I think recently Nvidia just certify it to be G-Sync compatible too, good for your RTX2070.

QUOTE(cepoi @ May 2 2019, 02:59 PM) Because price difference. But I will take into consideration. Anyway, ultrawide recommended for FPS games? Oic, but I think the slight extra is worth it for long term usage. We dun change our monitor as frequent as other PC components I supposed (at least for myself ). Ultrawide is definitely recommended for FPS game but I will put high refresh rate (>100Hz) and freesync/g-sync as top priority.

QUOTE(craxors @ Jun 13 2019, 08:56 AM) jangan tipu la.... most of u guys here will said 34" now seem so small only... wow... definitely eyeing this for my next upgrade. 38" is the sweat spot for ultrawide. 34" feel too short vertically.

QUOTE(teng_08 @ Jul 3 2019, 10:31 AM) My screen size upgrade path: 23" > 24" > 27" and now 34" UltraWide. No turning back now I think when choosing UltraWide, take into consideration on your table length and width. When I bought my U3415W, I underestimated the width and had to move my printer a little further away from the desk. nice upgrade path. I upgraded from 24">27">30">34" ultrawide which is not ideal coz i still cannot forget the great height of Dell 30" at 16:9. After using 34" UW for more than a year, my brain still cannot get use to the short height of the 34" UW compared to 30" 16:9. Maybe the extra wide keep playing trick in my brain.

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Aug 9 2019, 02:37 PM) My concern are, if it's VA panel ( given it's 144Hz ) and if any G-sync or Free-sync tech. for cost efficiency, most likely will be a VA panel, 144Hz with at least Free-sync support. These specs are quite common nowadays. But Xiao Mi is known to be giving the best tech to surprise their customer like the Xiao Mi TV and short throw Laser projector. So finger cross it might be a UWQHD+ 144hz G-sync model with basic HDR under RM2k.
