Backlight bleeding is bleed of light from every edge corner where you can actually seen the light bleed out.
Uniformity is not backlight bleeding but inconsistent of the backlight. That is not bleeding.
When using for productivity, you cannot seen the Uniformity issue as it is not that obvious compare with BLB.
Flashlighting and clouding are also included in BLB not just edge leak .... regardless it's just Syntax referring to the same thing: just that one includes also edge leak and one does not while also being specific and generalisation respectively...

The black smearing is not a huge issue in gaming to me, but instead in productivity, especially if you love dark themes. If you using Light theme then it is not that bad, but still you can't avoid to see text gone when you scrolling at website which background is dark/black with white font.
If you scrolling in dark mode when coding, then you will notice the text is like clipping and dismiss. This issue will make some people headache or irritating. If you can accept text disappearing / blinking during scrolling, then you are good with it and no issue.
I suggest you go for IPS, IPS is better for productivity but for budget below RM 2k, seems they is no choice for IPS in Ultrawide. IPS had wide viewing angle, this is good if you need to share with people what you had do. IPS also normally better in color accuracy, this is important if you also do design.
Below this video showing the disappearing white text in dark background issue, start from 8:15 This issue only fixed recently by Samsung in it highest end Odyssey model but it only start from G7 and unfortunately the only Ultrawide 21:9 model G5 is using older VA panel and also have this issue. For others brand never seen reviewer mentioned don't have such issue, it is just how bad or how little they are.
Thank you for your advice and suggestion. It seems like with my current budget, I guess my best bet is Acer XZ342CUP or even LG 34WP500 (Yes, I know it is 2560 X 1080 ultrawide. But as far as I know, the pixelation can only be observed if you sit very close to the monitor. When I watch the reviews, I actually find it quite ok for me ).
I have been using a TFT-LCD panel with a resolution of 1366 x 768 for the past 9 - 10 yrs and I never experienced IPS / TN / VA panel before, so I don't really know how well or how bad for a different type of panel. I think I should go to the physical store to try out the VA panel and see if I can accept the black smearing issue..

Yes correction: 2x HDMI 2.0 inputs...
VA has excellent contrast compared to IPS.... great black levels
These panels uses standard RGB arrangement, so no impact on text (as in they would not look worst than IPS)... as for black smearing (while scrolling for instance) these panels are not the fastest at an average of 6 to 7ms...G2G transition... Good enough for 144Hz.
I use black background linux terminals while coding... no clipping or disappearing issue while scrolling...
Actually (usually) pixel response time works best at above 120Hz (optimally at 144Hz) and not 60Hz...
As long as you don't use your monitor in complete darkness... it should be fine... otherwise backlight bleeding or blooming maybe more obvious
Thank you for sharing your experience with me. It is good to know that you don't have the disappearing issue while scrolling because I guess this is the issue that irritate most of the non-gamer user and also my biggest concern because I just don't want to switch to a monitor that I have to scroll-stop-sroll-stop everytime just to read part of the text.
I don't think I will ever use my monitor in complete darkness as I always prefer my room / environment in bright.

I suggest don't buy 2560 x 1080, everything is freaking big. 1080p is good for 24" which equivalent to 29" Ultrawide.
34" Ultrawide is equivalent to 27" Wide which better for 1440p.
For that two, Acer XZ342CUP is better and they is real user here where the owner had mentioned the Black Smearing is not that bad. I think it is good to go then.

Thanks for telling me. I guess if I were to purchase Acer XZ342CUP, I think I will buy it from Just IT Technology at Shopee. It is much more cheaper there and so I don't think they have such promotion/event though.

Most likely a TN.... IPS/TN/VA <<<All are TFT...
I see... Because it is not written in their website, so I don't really know.

Ya that time never have written what is the panel but only mentioned TFT-LCD. But mostly is TN or VA. That time IPS is freaking expensive.

Purchase it... then claim it at the site" independently with your receipt....
Same goes for warranty... 3 years... anything wrong, claim from Acer Malaysia...

I hope Samsung Odyssey QD-OLED had better coting and better text output as this look awesome.
The bendable look cool as well but the resolution for that and also the none bendable LG seems a bit too low, in such big size 45" only manage to archive 82 PPI.
1. bad viewing angle... bottom 1/4 screen appears pinkish on light backgrounds at my sitting position with eye level at top 1/3 of screen... 2. too bright... at zero brightness and zero contrast still too bright for me... maybe ok for ppl who likes office level room brightness... but i'm like mushroom and keep my pc room quite dark...
I bleed it out, Diggin' deeper just to throw it away!

since my 32" 1440p 144hz Viewsonic died, been hunting for it's replacement
it seems still a bit limited choice locally here for 32" & above that's within my 1.5k budget
So thinking of trying 34" UW this time seems my choices is limited to 2 now, the Acer XZ342CUP or the Dell S3422DWG
Am leaning more towards Dell now... since they're known for durability, many Dell monitors at my office are still kicking strong even after more than 10 years Managed to get it down to around 1.6k after some discount vouchers
Hey I am facing a dilemma with ultra wide monitor. I wanted to buy prism+ but not sure the quality or whether it is outdated. Then I was almost buying Huawei mate GT but I heard the review is bad and the model is discontinued.
I got a Mac and gaming laptop so I not sure whether I should have usb connector. I heard old monitor don't have the direct connection. Hence I'm not sure whether I could go far new launch monitor. And also, 49 and 34, which is the best for multitasking and immersive experience?!

Thanks bro for the slogan. But can you guide me what I should do now? Should I wait for new model, or should I buy any existing brand? Is Huawei mateview GT a good start? Or Acer, dell, Asus or anything? First time in my life upgrading my pursuit of happiness in immersive experience. Don't want to get it wrong.

Is there anyone free to advise me on this?
1st don't buy Prism+.
2nd don't buy that Huawei also.
Look for LG, Samsung, Asus, Gigabyte.
Since this is your 1st time buying Ultrawide, it is recommended go for 34" Ultrawide which is 21:9 aspect ratio. This is around 1.25x of Wide 16:9 monitor.
For 49" this is Super Ultrawide which is 32:9 aspect ratio and it is 2 units of 27" Wide 16:9 monitor.
Also suggest go for 1440p only, which means it is 3440x1440 for Ultrawide and 5120x1440 for Super Ultrawide. This 5120x1440 Super Ultrawide need a lot of GPU juice with support of DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.1, I am using it and I love it but I came from Wide to Ultrawide to Super Ultrawide. This Super Ultrawide maybe too wide and too long, so I suggest you don't straight go for it.
