QUOTE(blueheaven @ Oct 15 2015, 05:56 PM) Haven't used any but u should avoid meizu. If I'm not wrong they use mediatek chips which is not very good for GPS. My redmi can't even lock with waze. im using meizu m2 note btw.So that leaves u with mi4. Good choice since I wanted to get that before. But I got honor 6 and I can vouch for its quality. Honestly one of my favourite phones so far no problem with gps. very fast lock less than 10-15 sec |

QUOTE(mc_kambeng @ Oct 22 2015, 11:34 AM) Hi, Yeah. Many review stated the slower snapdragon 615 that used on many mid range phone.Need help, in dilemma to choose either Mi 4i or Honor 6. Which is better in term of: 1. Smoothness 2. Custom ROM (Need near to stock android) 3. Camera (for my gf to selfie) This phone will be use by both me and my gf. Im really concern bout smoothness and custom ROM while my gf only concern bout selfie. *Ive tried Mi 4i last night at Digi store, when opening the apps folder can obviously saw the stutter framerate, is this normal? This would be really a big turn down for me Thanks. Get the honor bro if u want faster phone. I just skip snap615 |

QUOTE(jrean1451 @ Oct 23 2015, 09:21 AM) ya i know it is belong to another league.... yeah. shud be no problem if not main phone.while surfing the forum i found out a guy was selling his nexus5 at 750 bucks...this caught my eyes too... my intention for this phone will be my second phone...although it must not be new or flagship, but i don't mind to get a second hand flagship too... among these 3...the pros for mi note 2 is that it can expand the sd storage and also remove the battery... but i guess to solve the sd expandsion...we can always put an OTG right? but if u plan to use it as main phone. ( esp installing quite few apps with graphic. 11GB fill up really fast ) |

QUOTE(adibyusoff @ Oct 28 2015, 04:34 PM) good day everyone. op2 wins someneed suggestions here between these two; 1. Brand. (LENOVO ZUK Z1 / ONE PLUS TWO) 2. Budget. (1K - 1.7K) 3. Specs. (ALL ROUNDER) 4. What you need in the phone (ALL ROUNDER) any help is appreciated Hi, I am the proud owner of the OnePlus 2 since mid-august (owned the OnePlus One previously for about 1 year), but I had the chance to test a Lenovo Zuk Z1 for about 2 days. Actually it is the phone of my girlfriend but I got it shipped to my home and she let me use it for 2 days. Don't expect this to be a big review, and sorry in advance if I am not clear in my explanations, english is not my native language. First impressions of the Lenovo Zuk Z1 It came with the Chinese ROM with Zuk UI, so I instantly flashed the official CyanogenOS ROM, because for those who don't know, Cyanogen is officially supporting this phone. Fingerprint Scanner The fingerprint scanner is extremely fast and accurate. I would say it is twice faster than the OnePlus 2 and I was not able to get it to fail. I tried to unlock the phone for at least few hundred of times and this beast unlocked everytime. The technology behind or the algorithm is definitely much better. Design The Lenovo Zuk Z1 looks good (white model). I really liked the premium feeling of the metal border all around the phone. The front of the device looks pretty as well but I do not like the back. The back doesn't feel cheap but it doesn't look incredible nether. ROM The ROM.. what can I say about it.. well CyanogenOS is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ! It definitely feels like a finished product and is very stable. It feels even more polished than the CyanogenOS version of the OnePlus One. Even the latest Facebook version works ! (unlike OxygenOS 2.1) There are tons of feature, it was good to see the Theme Engine back as well. Screen The screen looks beautiful, there is nothing bad I can say about it. Performance I didn't run Antutu Benchmark because I don't believe in benchmarks statistic since everyone can cheat them. What I can tell is that the Lenovo Zuk Z1 boots up about 8 seconds faster than my OnePlus 2 running OxygenOS 2.1 and having installed the same exact applications from the Google Play Store. Camera I was expecting the OnePlus 2 to beats the Lenovo camera my much, but I guess that was only 'hype'. The camera is fine, I took both phone at some random place during the day and captured a picture side by side and compared them. I am not able to tell which takes the most beautiful pictures except in yellow light where the OnePlus 2 is a bit better. PS: The CyanogenOS camera application is much better than the one on OxygenOS. Battery The battery on the Lenovo Zuk Z1 is incredible ! With a 4100mAh built in battery, I was easily able to get through 2 full days of use where my OnePlus 2 barely make one full day (often have to give some juice to it at around 7pm) Conclusion The OnePlus 2 is still a great phone. If I had to choose between the Lenovo and the OnePlus 2, the choice would still be hard to make. OnePlus 2 pros against the Lenovo : The design is solid The camera is a bit better The notification slider. Styleswap Lenovo Zuk Z1 pros against the OnePlus 2 : The fingerprint scanner is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G The battery is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G The ROM is MUCH better Price a bit cheaper ! Paid 530$CAD (including taxes+shipping) where OnePlus 2 was (586.36$ CAD) PS: CAD --> Canadian Dollars USB Type-C 3.0 !! OTG USB-C Supported ! Hopefully this will make your choice easier if you do not wish to wait for an invitation This post has been edited by salimbest83: Oct 28 2015, 04:41 PM |

QUOTE(gr8fr8 @ Nov 3 2015, 09:01 AM) Hello sifus, might one visit here alsoIt has been a while since I last shop for phone as my Note 2 is still going strong. So, I am looking to buy OP2 next. I know it is not as flagship killer as OP1, but I like the overall package. I haven't really look at other brands because there are so many out there :dizzy: Maybe the sifus can help me to recommend alternatives to OP2: 1) Price range below RM1800 (RRP of OT2 ~RM1800 and below) 2) Has similar specs 3) That, if possible, has no resemblance to Ipong. 4) No need for NFC. 5) Not looking for gaming phone. Just solid with fast update to the software/ROM. By the way, where is OP2 thread? I was going to ask whether you need to sign up to Maxis to buy one there now. https://forums.oneplus.net/forums/the-oneplus-2/ aaaaand most haters is here https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/is-this-....374317/page-13 This post has been edited by salimbest83: Nov 3 2015, 10:27 AM |
