Comparing find7 with oneplus one? which one wins?
*
Oppo Find 7 over Oneplus One
1. 2K screen over 1080p (not a big deal)
2. Removable battery
3. Micro SD card slot, non on Oneplus One
4. Much louder speaker.

Oneplus One over Oppo Find 7
1. 64GB vs 32GB internal memory.
2. Slightly larger battery, but much longer battery life, due to lower resolution screen, better battery management.
3. Maybe the simple UI close to stock Android appeal to someone, which make the phone actually feel faster. Lesser bloatware. (Personal preference through)

By comparison, Oppo Find 7 offer more thing than Oneplus One. Build quality wise, actually Oppo Find 7 is better. I personally prefer Oppo Find 7 due to more resemblance to the flagship phone.

u gotta to kidding me?

well u go read about Find 7 on weibo's/QQ's group then you'll know wtf was they complaining the droid version... ==!!!
*
Well, down to the lowest point, pricing is also a deciding factor too. Now it is priced lower than Oneplus One, so pricing benefit on Oneplus One is gone.
I know Oppo Find 7 has many issue, but Oneplus One does has its own issue too (in fact, a lot too)

I would say, support wise, Oppo will be the better hand at Malaysia.
Every other thing, down to personal preference, every phone has pros and cons. There are people that is happy with their Oppo, and people happy with Oneplus One, it just choices.
If really want to do comparison, consider Xiaomi too.

any issue regarding the find 7?
*
Well, those are common smartphone issue.....
Over heating, battery drain, OS bug.
Touch screen failure, motherboard failure, screen color tint. (Apply to both phone too). There are people defending both phone, and there are people hating both. Some facing it, some don't.

But overall, Oneplus One battery life is longer than Oppo Find 7.
But down to this price point, both are actually quite good to consider, as I said, more down to personal preference.

I do own many smartphone and tablet. I do face problem that other people mention, but also don't facing some of the issue.
Touch wood for all of us to get the phone that is problem free.

Xiaomi? Psst. Forget about it. A iPhone clone eh?  brows.gif  whistling.gif

I personally like a near stock Andriod experience. I personally prefer Oxygen OS or CM> ColourOS. I will try to change ROM or intsall some skins if I go for Find7.

Still, the stunning 2K display, fast charging and beautiful pulse notification will be some compromises if i go for 1+1.  rclxub.gif

Just follow your heart, it is down to personal preference.

The 1080 screen on Oneplus One is just as sharp as 2K screen, and 30% brighter too on top brightness compare to Oppo Find 7 screen, just that the Oneplus One screen lose on contrast, due to lighter black level, but overall not very noticable.

Oppo Find 7 also can flash with CM too.
I buy it just because of its cheaper price with high spec.
I personally don't like Xiaomi too, due to no NFC, no expandable memory, no 4G at some model at this price range.

This actually really depends on what you wish for on your phone though. Asus zenphone 4gb provide a lightning fast phone but with the compromises of bloatware and a 100 more than 1k. The plus side is it is relatively new and there is a 2gb version selling for 900. Of course the spec is slightly poorer than the the find 7 for 998 and its 4gb version.

If you look for a near stock andriod phone, Moto g 2015 can be a good choice although it might be released soon in Malaysia. The price should be around 900. Still, the compromises are just 720p display, just ok camera. Things that you would expect from a normal budget smartphone.

The only real deal for now, in your case, I think would just be Oppo Find 7. Still the compromises is that, in my opinion, ColourOS might not be as good as Motorola os or OnePlus Os or even ZenUI. It is just the matter of self preference. And also, think about why they drop the price so much? 1.9k to 1k. There must be something eh? Haha

Other 2014 with similar spec still sells around 1.5k. Moto X 2014 as an example. Even Nexus 5 2013 still maintain at 1.4k.You can consider XiaoMi Mi4i or Redmi Note 2 if you don't mind Mi phones la. Haha. They aren't too bad overall.
*
Well, if you head over ASUS Zenfone 2 forum, there is much more complain from user.
Much frequent over heating, battery drain, and unstable OS implementation on Lollipop 5.0. Hanging, camera failure. I read it a lot at Gsmarena.

Again, touch wood for all people to get a phone that is problem free.

insider info, 2 reason,  high warranty claim due  to screen issues n newer model coming out hehe.

Hmm...... Choice has been made due to low price on Oppo Find 7, Malaysia don't allow phone to be returned to store if you not satisfied.

Anyway, I can only just live with those.
So far satisfied, on the performance. Can't say much for the price being paid.
It is a trade off between performance, display, functionality, battery life and reliability.

What is the matter with find 7's screen?
*
Well, heard people reporting on the yellowish screen edge, normally at bottom of the screen, due to un-uniform edge back light after months of usage.
There are argument also because of the chosen UV glue that is causing the black light issue too.

Anyway, got to live with all that if it really happen.

where to buy those?

Well, those price are online price, primarily sold at online store like Meizu and ASUS own online store.
Or, you can get it at Lazada, Lelong, 11Street.

If you are at KL, can visit DirectD store.

I think it is very hard to find Meizu phone at normal shop outside KL, even the ASUS phone won't get this much cheap on normal shop.

saw tered in garage selling sme.. damn..

btw note 5 specwise just extra ram, and octacore rite?
*
Note 5 don't has Micro SD card too, just stuck with 32GB Memory. (No 64GB version, even S6 don't has 64GB version for Malaysia market, but S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ do has 64GB version for Malaysia)
If you prefer the cloud storage, or you would bring a thumb drive with OTG, this is not an issue, but those option is much less convenient than Micro SD card.

You can't use the cloud service if data speed is low, then data transfer eat up data quota too.
For OTG, it's form factor is much bigger than Micro SD card, and is not directly attached to the phone.
Apps cannot conveniently transfer to cloud and OTG too.

QUOTE(terng~n~o_mania @ Sep 6 2015, 01:09 PM)
hi, in dilemma looking for some recommendation.

i'm currently a Xiaomi Mi3 user, i'm very satisfied with my existing phone, and i like the ease of use of the MIUI a lot because it's straight forward and user friendly, unlike those sub menu in a menu type.

i need to give away my Mi3 and get a replacement, below are my requirements, many thanks for all the advice in advance.

me myself is looking at Mi4i currently, but not sure if there are any better options.

1. No specific brand
2. Below 1K
3. 2/3GB ram, other specs equivalent or better than Mi3
4. Main concern, user friendliness. my Mi3 is very user friendly to me.
Must have 4G LTE.
Good camera, long lasting Spec (can last me for another 2 years)
High capacity ram (I find 2gb ram somehow is lacking in my Mi3)

please tell me if what I am looking is too much to ask for, or not being realistic at all.
*
Just a quick guide, for below 1K, choice are scarce:

1. Huawei Honor 6, 3GB RAM, has 4G, has Micro SD slot, comparable chip set. (Only below 1K for online shopping, or visit shop like DirectD, Huawei outlet sold this around RM1099)

2. Xiaomi Mi4i (16GB or 32GB), has 4G, but still 2GB RAM, you can get 32GB version, less than capable chip set if compare to Mi3, no NFC.

3. Meizu MX4, 16/32GB, 2GB RAM, has 4G. No Micro SD slot.

4. ASUS Zenfone 2, 2GB RAM, 32GB version, has 4G, but there are many issue reported on battery life, camera quality and over heating.

5. Xiaomi Mi4, has 3GB RAM, but no 4G, Snapdragon S801 2.5Ghz. Only 16GB, no 64GB for Malaysia market.

6. Elephone P8000, 3GB RAM, 4G, but Mediatek MTK6753 chipset (same as the one used at Meizu M2 Note)

Much cheaper option: (With some drawback on performance, but maybe comparable to Mi3)
1. Meizu M1 Note, 16/32GB, 2GB RAM, has 4G
2. Meizu M2 Note, 16GB, 2GB RAM, has 4G

Sorry, let you has more dilemma.

Thanks alot for the add on options, haha.
indeed lots of dilemma.

among all the options i guess my best is Huawei Honor 6.
then 2nd for Mi4i. Mi4 does not have 4G so i guess there's no point for me to change, i could just buy a cheaper phone to give away instead.
Zenfone 2 indeed i've read about many problems.

I also did saw another option, which is Asus Padfone S Plus.
with Snapdragon 801, 3GB ram, and 4G.
downside is the battery capacity is only 2500mah.
it's running on Kitkat, any idea if it's capable of going Lollipop?
anyone has any comment on the Padfone S plus?

Thanks again.
*
Padfone S Plus already has Lollipop, just released by last month, already has 2 release, but it is still very new, dunno if stable or not.
Available to be downloaded at ASUS support website.

For me, Lollipop is not a deal breaker.
Indeed, I found Kitkat actually run more stable than Lollipop, and faster too.
All apps that can be installed on Lollipop, can be install on Kitkat too, even Jelly Bean is able to run those apps without any issue. (One of my device become more lag, drain more battery, lesser feature, after Lollipop update, not all Lollipop implementation is the same)

The limitation is more on the phone hardware itself, where the processor's and graphic chip's raw capability is the real bottom line.

(Padfone S battery capacity is just 2300 mah, not 2500 mah)

appreciate the correction.
the catchy part of the asus Padfone S plus is the specs to price wise. @ RM 899 for this spec.

how would you rate between Huawei Honor 6 and Asus Padfone S plus?

I apologize for the many many questions asked.

Thanks.
*
S Plus has 64GB vs 16GB storage, and slightly better chip set (well, just on graphic chip department, processor performance almost equally same).
But ASUS Padfone S battery is just 2300mah, Huawei Honor 6 is 3100mah, huge different.

Huawei Honor 6 screen also is brighter too, then build quality is a bit better, where the glass cover on the back, thinner and smaller.

My vote go for Huawei Honor 6, also at RM899.

dun forget there is oppo find7 going below 1k now
*
I actually get a black color unit by RM998.
Please look back the discussion here on Oppo Find 7.

1. Battery life is poor.
2. May has screen yellowish issue after months.
3. Touch screen ghosting issue (self touch itself) after long use.
4. More easy to crack, as reported by other forum.

Think before buy.
But at RM998, no phone is as this cheap with these spec.

Hi guys, I looking for some recommendation.

I aiming on the one plus two, but the price that came out really surprise me and read out some of the review on youtube, is just a so-so phone.

So i went to the shop and they give me 3 option
1. Vivo Y35
2. Vivo X5
3. Samsung J7

Later i pass by Sony center and tested the latest C5 is quite meet my require also but too big for me but i still put in my list, and also the smaller version M5
4. Sony C5
5. Sony M5

What i require
1. Dual Sim dual stanby ,got Lte is the best, if not i can live with 3g
2. Great Camera
3. 2g ram or higher
4. 5 inche to 5.5 inche is acceptable
5. RM1000 to RM1500++

Currently using MIUI and i love the UI.
*
With this price, you can get Huawei Honor 6 Plus, dual sim standby.
Then, you can get Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro, dual sim standby also.
Both are 3GB RAM, 5.5" to 6", got LTE, and great camera.

Less favorable option would be ASUS Zenfone 2, 4GB RAM version.

But beware of the dual sim. Most of the implementation only allow 1st sim to standby for 4G, and SMS, another just can used for voice call, like what Zenfone 2 did.
Preferable to have dual sim phone with real dual standby that can actually used sms and data on both sim.

i thought OnePLus two is almost out? out budget?
*
You should able to get Oneplus One 64GB not less than RM1199 on local Malaysia set.

I direct ask Maxis before, price including GST is RM1270.94.
Other shop I ask at Penang, max can reduce till RM1250.

Maybe shop like DirectD can have the original price at RM1199.

or I can get other model within that price?
*
There are shop selling cheaper than this as I recalled.
Just need to make sure it can work with Malaysia 4G band will be ok.
Also make sure the software inside is using international version, so that Google Play is pre-installed inside.
You can ask the shop to flash the ROM for you.

BTW, flash the ROM for what dude?
sorry.noob here
*
Because the unit selling now may be imported from China, thus has Chinese version of OS.
Most Chinese version OS don't has Google Play Store pre-installed.
You may need to install yourself (may not compatible), or flashing the international ROM to get the Google Play Store.

All Xiaomi phone officially sold at Malaysia is pre-installed with Google Play. Those imported unit may not has Google Play.
