Zen2 the 2gb version ZE550ML, or redmi note 4g

I'd go with ipod or other mp3 player except that they are much more expensive than a feature phone or low end android phone.

Hi, need sifu advice on the phones below, I'm really torn between which one to choose.

My usage model:
1. Need dual sim & at least one sim with LTE/4G
2. Need good browsing speed (I use Chrome browser a lot)
3. I use Google Now, Google Map and Waze a lot
4. youtube, and social media (whatsapp, wechat, FB)
5. Hope the phone has potential upgrade to Android M or Lolipop 5.1.x
6. Good battery life
7. Budget below RM1.5k


I've narrowed down my choices to:
1. Samsung Galaxy S5 DUOs
2. LG G3 dual sim (model D858)
3. Asus Zenfone2 4G/64G or 4G/32G
Currently I'm using Redmi 2s, can't stand the 1GB ram, always stutter/lag when browsing. Battery life so so only.

Anyone knowledgeable about phone above mind to let me know the good /the bad?
If you have other alternative phone suggestions please recommend too.

-IMO The 4G version have less battery life over 2G (ZE550ML) version.

Can add Honor 6 Plus to ur list. 3600mah battery.

Oneplus One, Mi4 or Honor 6 plus for me. Zenfone 2 battery issue.

If ur a heavy flasher or modder > OnePlus

If u nid microsd card support + high capacity battery + dual sim > Honor 6 Plus

If u dun flash much and can live without microsd card > Mi4

I prefer Honor 6 bro

2. Budget. (1.2k Below)
3. Specs. (will do lots of video call with wechat and line)
4. Must be able to use with large sim card 15mmx25mm type. Absolutely must. don't want anything to do with phone for micro sim card.

Since last year, they change the standard to microsim dy. Almost all phone also use microsim. Of coz u can go for Redmi 1S, Galaxy Grand Neo, Lenovo S580 which all uses regular sim. But these phones are considered entry level and low end. And the models all oso from 2014, quite old in android technology.

Based on ur budget, u can get flagship device dy, like Honor 6, OnePlus One etc. But ur regular sim requirement is a big hold back.

So basically it's like, do you want a flagship phone with microsim or do you want a low end phone with regular sim? Which sacrifice are u willing to make.

The best phone that still uses regular sim is the Mi3 if I'm not mistaken. I'm using it with my regular sim size.

Anyway, any particular reason u dun wan to change ur sim to microsim?

Best phone below RM1.5K would be LG G3

If you can up your budget until RM599, it would be Huawei Honor 3X G750
If cant stretch, than at RM499 would be Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.

it's a phone for a elderly person. for reason beyond logical explanation i can't switch from the old mini-sim card.

I see. Go for Mi3 then. Simple to use and uses regular sim.

Huawei Honor 4x vs Meizu M1 Note. Looking for an affordable phablet. Main use will be GPS, browsing, camera. Like the 4x's SDcard and Note's FHD screen but can't have best of both worlds I guess.

1. Brand. Asus zenfone 5 (A501CG), Huawei 3C, Huawei 4C, Lenovo A7000
2. Budget. RM600 below
3. Specs. 2GB RAM, 8 or 16GB ROM, good processor
4. What you need in the phone:
-No lag
-dual sim is a must
-good camera/video
-external storage capability
-aftersales service (just in case)
-no or few bloatware (but as long as it doesn't eat too much ram thats ok, probably)

I am pretty much an average user. mostly used whatsapp, telegram, line, usual web surfing, watching youtube
listen to music messaging, calling. as for games I only play chess, reversi, poker some angry birds (not into games such as asphalt, etc.)
my current samsung SIII have start to show its age thus need a replacement.

seriously looking at both huawei 3c and 4c as well as asus zen5. A7000 still needs some reading though. needs some user input on these phones

will definitely going for black colour and put a tough case such as spigen.

4G, is it important to have right now?
