I foresee that CDEC stumbles at the final hurdle. From nowhere to top of the mountain is just too good of a story to be true.

QUOTE(TruthHurts @ Aug 9 2015, 11:23 PM) It's in their best interest that the roster remains the same, gives them a more solid base to start training for majors. However, Ohaiyo's interview indicates that they may be thinking of replacing a player. I won't be surprised if Kecik stays and Johnny gets booted. |

QUOTE(air @ Aug 10 2015, 08:53 AM) I know why you think this is funny - Kecik is currently the laughing stock of most local fans. Trust me when I say that he has what it takes to go the distance, he just needs more time.QUOTE(SGSuser @ Aug 10 2015, 09:43 AM) I prefer that he stay as a midlaner. It's better for the support to be a shotcaller, which in this team's case is Mushi. What's important now is they stick with their roles and work on their synergy instead of swapping roles depending on the hero. |

QUOTE(air @ Aug 10 2015, 12:46 PM) How long it takes to reach the level that he can overwhelm S4 or other pro mid/offlane players? Fair point you have there, but the way I see it is this - Mushi is ineffective as a coordinator when he's playing in the midlane. If he opts to stay there, he'll probably have to let someone else call the shots in-game (which I doubt he will want to do).Mushi already at that level, so we expect Mushi to give up his main role which he is obviously super-imba-talented(and tons of effort spent) and be a support?(support is important too). Unless Team Malaysia can really find a stable sponsor, otherwise, Mushi have to keep showcase his imba skills to keep his team going. From what I feel so far, he still cant afford give up his role to a player who need time to refine his position as a mid. Transitioning from one role to another isn't as hard as most people believe. At their skill level, they can easily transition to another role, but perfecting it takes practice with a stable roster in a competitive environment. Prior to the main event, Fnatic played with Mushi on support and Kecik mid without any problems. I believe they just decided to play things safe and rotate Kecik to support instead of risking him being overwhelmed by much more experienced midlaners. As far as the time needed for Kecik to refine his skills to be a world-class midlaner, we'll just have to revert to Mushi's personal assessment - he believes the kid can go far with more exposure. Think of it in this way - Kecik was a "best option slot-filler" for TI5, but the team probably only intended to expect serious results from him by TI6. Last but not least, the issue of sponsorship - Fnatic is a stable sponsor, and I very much doubt they will drop the team despite their poor showing. I say this because I know that managing a team is about looking two steps ahead, you don't discard all your hard work just over one failure. You analyze the results and improve on the team; rinse and repeat. Plus with Valve introducing the majors, expect less complete disbands and more one or two-player replacements instead. P. S. Good players are a dime a dozen these days. Good players with tournament experience are slowly becoming a more common occurrence. Good players with tournament experience and the desire to go all the way? Now these are the real gems we're looking for. Experienced sponsors don't discard players easily, it's basically their last resort because finding the right player can take ages. |

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Aug 12 2015, 10:58 PM) not johnny also meh? I read on FB johnny also out. But dont know source can confirm or not leh. No news from Fnatic yet. If Johnny doesn't get kicked the team is screwed. He's not a bad player, but his attitude is terrible. Those here who have played with him in pubs will understand. If it's true means only Mushi and Ohaiyo left. Ohaiyo I would say is well deserved. He's the only consistent person. So Ohaiyo stick back offlane. Mushi stick back mid. 2 supports and 1 carry. Heard Black might join. But all this cerita fesbuk saja. If Black join NICE LA. But I surprised kyxy got kicked too. Was only expecting johnny and kecik. |

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Aug 13 2015, 01:24 PM) Not to defend Johnny or anything. However, is he the same when in a competitive/professional setting? I believe one or two forumers here have experience with that. Let them tell their side of the story should they choose to. In my experience, your attitude for both competitive and pub games don't differ too much. |

Looking for opinions on what you would like to see in a tournament. Would appreciate it if those here can share their feedback from tournaments they've attended before, doesn't matter if it's as a player/spectator/organizer.

QUOTE(xHj09 @ Aug 17 2015, 01:06 AM) just encountered a disgusting asf strat. naix with aghanims assimilate pudge entire game. pudge just need to rot inside, and it does no damage to himself apparently, thats all his job is. 5v4. pudge bought radiance, assault and vlads. disgusting asf game. only come out once in awhile to bite me (carry). basically a 12 slotted naix. Strats like these aren't viable as they require the executing team to have so much farm (Agha etc.) first. Shut them down early and you'll be just fine.fking disgusting. QUOTE(trowapeter @ Aug 17 2015, 11:49 AM) So if Aui_2000 got kicked out of EG just days after Ti5 ends, will he get his share of the 6.6m USD?. Remember how Valve invites the players, and not the team. If EG screws Aui out of his earnings, the team will definitely be banned for life like ddz.Fnatic will probably be dropping their dota team since they're just borrowing Team MY to promote their name. As for Fnatic, didn't Mushi issue a statement saying he's staying with the team? |

QUOTE(trowapeter @ Aug 17 2015, 05:26 PM) Expected a lot of changes after The International . Just not so fast, 2 team disbanded , few team reshuffle in just 1 week. The quick reshuffle is due to Valve introducing the majors structure as of this year. There's a roster lock period, similar to how EPL has their transfer windows. Esports is a serious business. Hope Aui_2000 go and make new team, recruit all those lone ranger players and name it The Syndicate |

QUOTE(bobohead1988 @ Aug 19 2015, 10:07 AM) Aui's POV. Pretty much the same as PPD's, but with a little less salt. Consensus is the same though, PPD was just doing what he felt was best for the team. |
