It's in their best interest that the roster remains the same, gives them a more solid base to start training for majors. However, Ohaiyo's interview indicates that they may be thinking of replacing a player. I won't be surprised if Kecik stays and Johnny gets booted.

I know why you think this is funny - Kecik is currently the laughing stock of most local fans. Trust me when I say that he has what it takes to go the distance, he just needs more time.

I prefer that he stay as a midlaner. It's better for the support to be a shotcaller, which in this team's case is Mushi.

What's important now is they stick with their roles and work on their synergy instead of swapping roles depending on the hero.

Fair point you have there, but the way I see it is this - Mushi is ineffective as a coordinator when he's playing in the midlane. If he opts to stay there, he'll probably have to let someone else call the shots in-game (which I doubt he will want to do).

Transitioning from one role to another isn't as hard as most people believe. At their skill level, they can easily transition to another role, but perfecting it takes practice with a stable roster in a competitive environment. Prior to the main event, Fnatic played with Mushi on support and Kecik mid without any problems. I believe they just decided to play things safe and rotate Kecik to support instead of risking him being overwhelmed by much more experienced midlaners.

As far as the time needed for Kecik to refine his skills to be a world-class midlaner, we'll just have to revert to Mushi's personal assessment - he believes the kid can go far with more exposure. Think of it in this way - Kecik was a "best option slot-filler" for TI5, but the team probably only intended to expect serious results from him by TI6.

Last but not least, the issue of sponsorship - Fnatic is a stable sponsor, and I very much doubt they will drop the team despite their poor showing. I say this because I know that managing a team is about looking two steps ahead, you don't discard all your hard work just over one failure. You analyze the results and improve on the team; rinse and repeat. Plus with Valve introducing the majors, expect less complete disbands and more one or two-player replacements instead.


P. S. Good players are a dime a dozen these days. Good players with tournament experience are slowly becoming a more common occurrence. Good players with tournament experience and the desire to go all the way? Now these are the real gems we're looking for. Experienced sponsors don't discard players easily, it's basically their last resort because finding the right player can take ages.

If Johnny doesn't get kicked the team is screwed. He's not a bad player, but his attitude is terrible. Those here who have played with him in pubs will understand.

I believe one or two forumers here have experience with that. Let them tell their side of the story should they choose to. In my experience, your attitude for both competitive and pub games don't differ too much.

Looking for opinions on what you would like to see in a tournament. Would appreciate it if those here can share their feedback from tournaments they've attended before, doesn't matter if it's as a player/spectator/organizer.

A little shocking, to say the least. There's no better 4th position player in the west at the moment.

Strats like these aren't viable as they require the executing team to have so much farm (Agha etc.) first. Shut them down early and you'll be just fine.
