BKB is key for slardar.
but i usually play roaming slardar, hard to get gold for bkb.

bkb is a must if you want to survive after blinking in and stunning
unless your opponents are retarded and didnt bother to stun/disable you

Also standard carry items armlet/assault cuirass/daedelus
pretty straight forward

But for the love of god never go mask of madness on this hero

I got Magnus as my challenge hero too. Went offlane, kautim in 1 game. What I say next applies for any hero in this patch - if you're not confident with it, go to the offlane. Sap exp and avoid dying, then pray you get carried. All you need is a ton of regen and 1 ward so you can see their supports rotating. Let them have the pull camp so you can sap exp from the supports.

I have to chip in my 2 sen regarding the Fnatic pickup of Team Malaysia:

There are Malaysian sponsors who are willing to pick up local teams, but their financial commitment to the scene is still pretty poor. When asked to provide salaries, gaming houses etc., they're not willing to meet the minimum Bachelor's graduate pay, which makes it hard for us to pick teams up as players will sometimes have to sacrifice their university education (or at least delay it for a year or two). Company focus is on the profit generation, and at the moment tournaments give a quicker ROI.
