So, I just registered as member at Tesco Online Shopping website. smile.gif

I want to know, how's the service? The delivery takes how long?
How's the condition of the groceries or anything that you bought? Received in a good condition?

Anyone here already tried the service?

tried it the other day.

Ordered at 11pm, asked for next day delivery between 8pm-10pm. Driver came 8pm on the dot.

Purchased RM230 worth, use the current promo of RM30 coupon, so balance is RM200. Then on the system they will charge RM3 for delivery. But upon delivery next day, they took it out as driver said RM200 is free delivery. Pay upon delivery. You can actually reject goods if you deem fit and you only pay according to the actual purchased items. Driver will connect a credit card device to his mobile and you basically pay using CC via his mobile.

Only thing that I didnt really like is that they will give you all your goods in plastic bags, regardless big or small items. I ordered lots of 100plus, and they basically packed 4 bottles in one tesco bag. And you know how lousy the plastic bag quality of tesco is crap. So in the end, I end up with a few plastic bags with 4 holes in it.

Only credit/debit card. No online payment/cash.

Used their service 3 times, not bad at all.

have tried.
they came on time, as you requested. (you can add $$ to make them come faster, and sometimes delivery is free like my experience)
cash cannot, and debit card/credit card boleh.
sometimes got discount coupon, sometimes got free stuff.

downside...not all items are available. somehow, the cheaper brand of the same item are hard to find, so i seem to spend even more when buying online compared to going to tesco on my own.

Been using the service since it started, at least once a month or so.

Never any major problems - sometimes stuff is out of stock and substituted but you can reject those anyway.

There's always vouchers / promotions coming through by emails for discounts and free delivery etc.

Yeah the plastic bag quality is crap and they always have holes in them, doesn't really bother me though.

Yes, only at Tesco Puchong, they are not expanding their Select & collect service. Perhaps tak dapat sambutan. People prefer the lorry delivery
