I have just been stung by the bike fever and looking into getting a bike.

My intention of getting a 250cc bike is just to learn and and get used to the bike (Most probably weekend ride).

Later on when I'm more confident, then only I will upgrade to a 600 CC and above.

I have ride a bike before but nearby only, not serious riding yet. Thing is I really like sportsbike with fairings compared to naked bike.

Planning to get B full also.

But now I'm thinking whether is it a good thing to get a brand new bike or a used one.

All my friends that tide bikes told me to get used one first, dont waste money on a brand new one because eventually upgrade anyway.

hopefully all sifus here can advise, all suggestions are welcome.

CBR250 RM12k? what year?

Thanks for the advise, but I also looking not just tahan heat and all also. That one I will have to self endure, but overall in terms of price of bike, maintenance and other stuff as well need to consider.

Any suggestions what bike? Ninja, CBR, Megelli, Blade or maybe other suggestions?

Both shop and online, and yes you are right. Very hard to find ninja 250 below 13k. Unless its private owner buy cash, then its cheaper. But shop bike is safer to buy because they fix it up before selling the bike. After researching, megelli and naza not recommended because to service it will cost a lot because these two bikes prone to spoiling very easily...so i've been told.....
