Who say geylang only can find china girl. There is a lot china girl which study in singapore also.

PR has different subsidies scheme from singapore citizenship. so if you swish to settledown in sg as PR, you might need pay more compare to singapore citizenship.

Hi all,

I just confirmed a job in Singapore. Reporting to work on 2nd January 2008.

I would like to know the process to apply the Employment Pass. Wondering, is that my responsibility or the employer responsibility?

Hope any M'sian that worked in Singapore can kindly share with me.

Thanks. rclxms.gif

To all, I know this is a bit off topic, but can you guys, when free, PM me to tell me what are the fundementals difference between SG and MY? There are so many people saying that working and living in SG is far far better than MY.

Thank you

nsc, normally your company will apply the EP for you. You just need to give them all the needed documents.

Some company do ask you process yourself but i am not familiar with it. Mine all done by agent, I just come down do medical checkup and he settle everything for me.

Your company don't have any company's doctor or recommended doctor for its staff? big companies usually have their own or recommended ones... so can ask them.. if not, just Gov clinic. However, there are many clinic that do such general check up for employment purposes

Some one mentioned about Tanjong Pagar? working there is it? just outside the CBD... working class area, but around there, there are HDB flats... that means.. things might not be as expensive as those in CBD or Orchard area... that's my guess... Long time ago, I used to frequent that area, because my parents used to live in that area.. Occasionally, I will be there too because I am a Berjaya member.. they do have a hotel there. So do wonder around at night when I stay over. QUite convenient, MRT is nearby.. (depending on which part of TP).

ncs_malaysia,

Did you have to go to Sgp once for interview and another time to do medical checkup and a 3rd time to do work permit? Then you need to apply so many days off to do these things? And spend so much for travelling to Sgp too?

Kindly share. Thank you. smile.gif
