So apart from more money and much much safer, any other attraction? Remember, Johor is only 1 / 2 hours away.

Quite near to the POSB but not that one.
If from POSB( on your left), u walk infront and see first food court, continue walk and make a turn to reach second one. that is the one.

Not sure about that, but here, there are not many Unix user although, I suspect there are still around. Most had migrated to using high end PCs and server type, and some linix (correct spelling?), which are much cheaper.. Linix, because of open source... no licencing issue.. but also limitation.. too.. but quite useful...

My department itself, we had shifted from Unix workstation to few hundreds PCs... much cheaper and easier to maintain. Although,... susceptible to virus. . .its been say almost 10 yrs since...

I'm going start working SG next month. smile.gif
But still haven found a room yet sweat.gif Already expect the rental price was pretty high these days and hard to find nice room.

Looking for whole room that near to MRT station (prefer North South line which can direct lead to Tanjung Pagar). office at Shenton Way.
Anyone know any good offer ? or anyone have a good agent to introduce to me?

Why working in SG is such an attraction for you guys? Mind to share?

higher exchange rate ?
similar background and culture ?
majority is Chinese, can talk freely in Mandarin ?
safer ?
pay lower in Malaysia for the same type of job in SG ? ( Fresh grad from local Uni get $2.7k )
Singapore Government happily accept foreign talent meanwhile Malaysia pushing out the talent to SG. ( I believe a lot of low yat members can't go into their choice of University )

It is expensive if you convert.. however, its isn't if you make your living in SG and spend here.. just imagine how much SG$1000 can buy against RM1000... in MY.. you will be surprised as many had said..

so do your sum before commenting whether it is expensive.. Of course, if you earn RM and spend here... Definitely.. .it will be... just as I was i UK once... everything ballon up 3X and even a toilet roll cost me a bomb.. unlike here. but they find it alright...
