Really?I'm interested to join too. Just done my pre-employment medical check-up today. Going to resign in 2 weeks time. Anyone know which way is faster to terminate S Pass? Go to MOM terminate myself? or let the previous employer to terminate for me? (I just worked for 2 months at this company |

QUOTE(Supreme Allied Commander @ Jul 2 2008, 09:48 PM) ehh go drinking and never cio Unfortunately delayed till now. Already a month. Got bumped off from the first intended batch and subsequently few more weeks on the later batch. How 'suay' is that. Apparently someone in STC was not happy with this and me missing. Friday or Saturday? QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Jul 2 2008, 10:12 PM) Really? I'm interested to join too. Just done my pre-employment medical check-up today. Going to resign in 2 weeks time. The exchange rate between the Singapore dollar and the Malaysian ringgit hit 2.429 today.
Great news for the people here who earn Singapore dollars. At the rate the economy is deteriorating in Malaysia, I won't be surprised if one Sing dollar fetches 2.5 ringgit by the end of this year. |

QUOTE(seantang @ Jun 13 2008, 05:24 PM) That's a course completion letter. It should be on the university's letterhead, with the stamp of a relevant dept eg. the vice chancellor's office or student affairs dept or your faculty dean or admin office etc. and state specifically the name of the degree under which faculty, that you have completed all requirements for the said degree, the date of completion and of course sufficient personal details to identify you to anybody relying on the letter. I got the course completion letter and results transcript already but is it enough for me to get an employment pass? I heard that the MoM is very particular on the certificate, no cert no talk. I am going to MoM next week for my employment pass (Q1) but my cert is not available until August. Anyone actually get an employment pass without showing cert? |

I think as long as a company wants to hire you and is willing to vouch that you will be gainfully employed in Singapore, an employment pass will be issued. It's when you apply for PR that the authorities become quite strict with your original certificates. I had to bring all the originals to an over-the-counter interview at the immigration dept before they approved my PR application. |

I think as long as a company wants to hire you and is willing to vouch that you will be gainfully employed in Singapore, an employment pass will be issued. I think the reason you can get EP without submit certs is because your salary already over the range due to there is few aspect can let you get EPIt's when you apply for PR that the authorities become quite strict with your original certificates. I had to bring all the originals to an over-the-counter interview at the immigration dept before they approved my PR application. 1) for foreigners with monthly basic salary of S$2,501 and above and possess acceptable degrees, professional qualifications or specialist skills.(Q1 Pass) 2)A P1 Pass will be issued if the applicant's monthly basic salary is more than S$7,000. 3) A P2 Pass will be issued if the applicant's monthly basic salary is more than S$3,500 and up to S$7,000. I think seantang you should be in category 2 or 3. PS: something to add,More likely, if your basic monthly salary is below $2,500 but you have an acceptable university degree or diploma from a recognised educational institution in Singapore, you may also apply for the Employment Pass This post has been edited by jimmy79: Jul 4 2008, 05:16 PM |

My salary is below 2500 yet my company apply a Q1 pass for me. My application is approved (without submit any cert to the online application) and I need to go over MoM for the green card next week. I do not have cert, only results transcipt and a letter that proved my qualification. I would like to know that is that enough for the MoM to grant me the Q1 employment pass |
