Will you be going to SG before you start work and hunt for rooms? one source you can try,m bus stop outside Bedok interchange.... but it will be crowded... at most time. On the post and sign board, you may find informatrion pertaining to rental ...etc... this is very common practice by agent, including those who doesn't want to go through agent..

Bedok is well developmented town, not lacking of anything. so Is your company located in Bedok industry area?

actually my workplace will be Jurong East, but my girlfriend will be working at Bedok. I decided to stay in Bedok as I don't want my girlfriend to waste time on MRTs and buses. As for me, I don't mind the journey though.

We'll be going to Singapore next week and we'll start working next month. I guess we still have ample time to search for a good place to stay. smile.gif

try www.sg-house.com
i got mine from there as well, was so blessed i didn't have to go thorugh those evil agent ever again. it's a nice spot i recommend because i got few calls/sms after i posted my requirement up there. better than you go hunt (unless you too urgently need a room).

good luck

smile.gif I know, but it is still within the same green-line MRT and I just don't wish her to take all the troubles of taking MRTs. blush.gif

So now r u employed? What job u applied? Which company u work for?

AFAIK, it is very difficult to get into a MNC or big corporations in S'pore unless u applied for those small medium Chinaman companies.

get an ok-ok job first... until you get a PR. then only start to apply for those MNCs that you're dying for smile.gif
