QUOTE(plankton @ Mar 12 2008, 01:57 PM) a quick question. for the following scenario; its no brainer as no employer in his/her right mind to pay someone 50-100% more for the same thingYear 1 : work in malaysia, salary 2k RM Year 2 : work in Singapore, salary ~2.2k SD Year 3 : work in malaysia again, salary ?? would my 3rd year salary be around my current 2.2kSD amount converted to RM, or it would be lower according to the malaysian rate. IT field. thnx well, why do you want to come back in the 1st place? |

QUOTE(terencetoo @ Mar 13 2008, 05:40 PM) ya because of the prison break escape It should be alright, because I ever brought brand new macbook in, but i opened up the box and put the macbook seperately ohh ya guys...i would like to bring brand new Wii into s'pore is it alright? will the custom stop me from bringing in? plan to bring ndsl and Wii there help my frens to buy here You can try checking out the Singapore Customs website at http://www.customs.gov.sg Anyway, the infomation that I provided earlier about the backpackers hotels may not be up to date, but it gives you an overall glimpse so you know what to expect. Another good website that you can see is http://www.hostels.com/en/sn.html? Remember that you can always walk away and check out another hotel if you find that the price is not right. This is to prevent those bad ones from overcharging you. (Some might claim that they only have availability for the more expensive rooms, etc) Good luck to all going for job interviews, hope you get your dream job! Lower cost of living in Malaysia and higher pay in Singapore, so it will be good if you work in Singapore.if i were to work in singapore, it would be a short term thing. 2 yrs max. anyways, still gathering info on whether its worth it to work in singapore.. But, if you want to have kids, not good to study in Singapore because the government there subsidise for the locals, not foreigners. So you pay more for education. A 2-year working stint in SG sounds good, can put on resume in future that you have experience working overseas, etc. =) |

GeneJin Sorry mate haha kind of rush ~ have to go out for breakfast hehe
Well....im wondering we are not S'porean the salary we asking can be the equal or average pay with S'poren? And i think most co. prefer hiring S'poren or PR at Jobsdb... is just my observation for 2 months... |
