Unlikely Yoda: A festival to honour the unlikely amongst us

For the first time ever in Malaysia, a festival to Re-discover your passions, learn about the latest trends in the independent music, movie and food
industry, explore the latest technology and meet Malaysia's biggest influencers.

Date: 28th May 2015
Time: 6pm to 10pm (with Google I/O Extended happening from 1030pm to 2am)
Venue: Centrus Cyberjaya (Malaysia's first smart mall. Behind Tune Hotel Cyberjaya)

We have 5 main tracks covering Movies, Music, Technology, Coffee&Cooking and Google I/O 2015. More info below:



Track 1: Independent Movies
Have you ever wanted to be an Youtube star? We have curated list of 15 Youtube video makers and local animation movie makers that will present their methods and secrets of making a good video. You will get to question them and understand the science behind video making.

Track 2: Independent Music
Independent music artists from rock, hiphop, acoustic, country and EDM genres are invited to perform their best songs to the audience. Followed by a QnA where the audience will get to ask and explore about the business of music in Malaysia. We have a good blend of both established and up and coming artists for you to enjoy.

Track 3: Latest Technology
The latest innovation from all over Malaysia (3D printers and pen, wearable startups, big data based startups, green tech, etc) will be displayed. You, the audience are allowed to explore these innovations and ask questions to the makers and experts. We have more than 20+ startups coming to present their products and a mini ideation hackathon happening (organised by Open Coffee Club Malaysia).

Track 4: Coffee and Cookie Making
Always wondered how to make yummy cookies or make your own coffee art? Interested in exploring the art of making a good cup of joe? We got you covered. Explore the world of coffee and bakeries with our experts teaching you how to do it. We have the experts from Coffee Grind of Cyberjaya coming to talk about the business of owning and running a coffee shop too!

Track 5: Google I/O 2015 Extended
I/O 2015 will be streamed live during Unlikely Yoda along with a showcase of the latest Google innovations such as Google Glass, Google Virtual Reality Box, etc. Watch the keynote and select sessions in real time, from our giant screen and meet other techies from all around Malaysia while at it.

We also have lots of food trucks and food sellers from all over Malaysia coming to Cyberjaya to satisfy your gastronomical needs.

Im looking forward..

Give them your idea (which they will make millions from) and all you get is Rm3000? really? that's two months minimum wage lol

And on top of that they expect you to work for free
