The first time I heard about Mistwalker Studios was when Hironobu Sakaguchi quit Square-Enix and started it up. After that... I kinda forgot about it. But in the recent TGS, the name Mistwalker just popped up again. And it was kinda shocking news to find out that almost the entire Final Fantasy team had quited Square and moved on to join their previous boss in Mistwalker.

And now Mistwalker only produces games for Nintendo and Microsoft. Does that mean that users of Sony will never get to enjoy games like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon? Sob sob... and that the FF we know will never be the same because the big brains had gone on...

What is this world coming to?

It will be a sad day if I have to buy 360 to play mistwalker games and ps3 to play final fantasy. Sob sob.

ya, there is no way that ps3 will be sole winner in next gen console war.

But mistwalker being a microsoft funded company is not going to extend their games to ps3. There are games for Wii and 360, just not PS3. It is so unfair!!

nope, they just have some cooperation onli and microsoft helps to publish it. if mistwalker is under microsoft, i am sure wii wont have a chance to get its game at all.

I never say they are under microsoft. They are microsoft funded. Meaning microsoft give them money. Oh... and mistwalker making games for DS... maybe that's why microsoft allow...

sweet. This should be a very good lesson for Fanboys. Just get all three systems. Every consoles has its strength and weakness. There's no use to say something like:

ooo Xbox 360 has no MGS. PS3 has no Halo3 and something like that. Hell with that. Gamers play all!

No money la... was saving my money to get PS3 cos XBox did not have the games I like. And since FF was for PS3, I would have thought that PS3 is a good investment. 360 is a good machine, but I'm still waiting for games to drag me over there, and guess it would happen soon.

Haha, who wouldn't want to get all three consoles? Hell, I want 'em all in my living room since XBOX, PS2, and GC came out but dreams rarely come true... Saving for PS3 too right now, hopefully enough cash to drag one 360 home too.

Back to topic; is there any news whether Sakaguchi still doing RPGs on PS3?

hm, i tot MGS will release it like N3, NTSC/J Jp 1st followed by NTSC/J Asian Eng-Jp followed by NSTC/UC and PAL.

guess Asian gamers have to rely on gamefaqs for translation & walkthrough


note: [eM] NSTC/J Asian Eng-Jp came 5 mths after NTSC/J Jp while N3 NSTC/J Asian Eng-Jp (less text) released 1 mth after NTSC/J Jp. wonder how long BD Eng localization/translation will take??
