Why second issue is FOC? I tot like previous other collection, 1st issue RM9.90, 2nd issue will be RM19.90 and following issue at RM29.90?

Planning to grab 20 units #1 issue.....hehehe....since just rm9.90.

wah... no wonder issue #1 always sold out so fast. got hoarder...

For me, may be will juz collect modern 1/200 warplanes only,
or may be won't collect at all... see the quality little bit off for me.

just found this thread because visit allscript today to get the 1st issue avro lancaster

not sure is it because of previous helicopter magazines i got, i found this issue 1 quality not bad
(too bad mine only 2 fan/rotor can spin by wind )

but the free gift of subscription is not attractive enough for me to subscribe


BTW, just wondering anyone found this issue 1 the stand is quite hard to put in?
i found the small wheel at the back somehow block my way to put in the stand fully...

generally the lancaster is okay la. all i can say is don't expect much diecast in this "diecast" collection... but for rm9.90, go get 'em while they last (before comrade blu3hamm3r sapu all)!

both gb and au edition issue #20. mebbe my also same kot. quality doesn't look off... it looks BAD. look at the under fuselage seams... they have problem there. i think it's bacause top diecast, bottom plastic... expansion/shrink factor difference.

anyway, looking forward to the sr-71 blackbird and the f111 aardvark...

makes sense for uk collectors... the spitfire, hurricane and the harrier (plus the nighthawk). don't think the nighthawk will make it's debut as an issue since it's a fighter, not a bomber... and since allscript never provides additional freegifts, it's sadly safe to presume we won't be seeing the nighthawk. it's a good thing they didn't dish out free fighters/helicopters that were already released before though (fac/hc).

I saw this model @ AlScript today- Scale 1:144

The details are simply not refined (at this scale I think)

Its a skip for me - maybe the whole series if all are at 1:144 or 1:200 scale .........

whoa dm101... you want the lancaster in 72??? they're not called GIANT warplanes for nothing and while i appreciate a same scale collection, at 72 these will be HUGE. as it is i'm finding a hard time finding the space to display my sea dragon...

comrade strikermac, although the italeri spirit lacks the landing gear that amercom has (not that it's well built anyway), it certainly has far better detailing than the amercom version. between the two i'd go for the italeri... if u can find one at the price of the giant warplane collection though.

Anyway I think Italeri is sure better and detail.

ebay. generally italeri models are more detailed, have better payload and overall workmanship... just no landing gears. amercom models are pretty much a bunch of hit and misses. some are good... not all. and i think issue #2 subscription sweetener is given because there's very low interest and demand for this freighter. i'm going ahead with completing the amercom series, though. wonder what allscript will bring in next. i'm guessing amercom's fire engine series.

oh wow! but i lazy drive all the way to allscript so just ask them to deliver. hopefully they've improved their service already. no more missing or damaged issues or late delivery (sometimes i cannot tahan still will drive to sendiri collect).

yups... the stratofortress sure is huge but generally quality so so only. the entire package was pretty light and i do observe white glue residue on the warplanes through its blister pack (can be easily wiped off, though). one of the free gifts had a slanted (but easily rectifiable) landing hear. but again i say, for the price you pay, really no complaints

have yet opened them. no more space to display

Received mine yesterday, but they send the wrong plane, Fokker missing but received 2 Spad planes instead, have contacted Ambika.

im waiting for ju-52..hopefully ada la for mALAYSIA MARKET..

Lot of reasons make the magazine collection slow down I think.

interest in gwc is very low. go all the bookstores can see heaps of strato freighters. mostly huge lumbering giants... not the sleek and graceful fighters
