Using blinker just 2 meters before turning. No blardy difference. Know it is jam and such a problematic turning turn the blinker on earlier. Since the OP will argue, I made this picture just for you.

Not everyone on the road is courteous meh. If ppl block you go around. No need to dramatize stuff by getting out just to show your blinking lights.
