first, u must know the high pitch u define are normal to other people of not...if it is normal to other ppl, then maybe it's ur ears too sensitive...

if it's not, then maybe ur system really produce high pitch tat loud enuff to annoy you....

source of high pitch can have many...

1. CD/songs/recording/ripping
2. HU characteristic
3. amp characteristic
4. any pre-amp
5. speaker

y CAP/crossover and HPF wont produce high pitch:

cap and crossover are used to filter low or high freq. it didn produce any power but it reduce the powewr to the speaker...so how it gonna produce high pitch? if u found tat the sound is very sharp after place these things, it's only because u had filtered lower freq...u never increase the higher freq volumn...

way to eliminate:
as above, source check each item...
if wan save money, change tweet placement, find a place tat u feel comfortable

i think u dun understand wat i mean....

cap got different cut off point for freq....but no matter how it cut, it will not produce any high pitch noise...the noise is generated by the source i listed above...

u can hear the high pitch clearly after u put a cap inside is because u are not hearing the lower freq(cut edy) which will affect the whole system sound...and the volumn and gain will affect this too

try to only install tweeter in ur car with low volumn..does it sound sharper than a car with tweet and midbass? then try it with high volumn...

What will happen when we power the tweeter from HU output direct? Will the HU knows that it is powering a tweeter? No right, it will power the tweeter like it power speakers, as HU is built for this purpose. If we don't filter the lower freq, at the end of day the tweeter will spoilt by the lower freq(bass) right? So in order to protect the tweeter a capacitor is install to it, is it right also? When a wrong rating capacitor is used when it filter out all the bass then it will be sound very sharp(high pitch) right? As tweeter can take some lower freq to have a better sound.

i really dunno how to tell u edy....since u cant understand

cap will only filter those unwanted low freq by tweeter...no matter wat value, there will still have high freq going thru...u know wat is mean HPF ? it's the same theory with HPF......

the SHARP sound will still there even u had use a cap ....

example: 4.4uf filter anything below 10k
10uf filter anything below 6k...
100uf filter anything below 2k

so i ask u, if u use highest cap value in example, then anything above 10k will still be pass thru right? so the sound sharp or not?

now u use 10uf, it sound not so sharp....but do u know it;s actually because the tweet are producing lower freq? which make the verall become more auditable.....
