You need to join FB and look for Oil&GAS Vacancies group, join them and you will find jobs over there.
There's some remarks on Petronas also(not that good as you need to have connection to join Petronas)
2 years back when market are good, as long as you are Malay, you can directly join, but as of today, nope, it is quite hard.
If you have some experience, try looking for jobs in Middle East, most ex Petronas employees that worked there won't bother to see Petronas.

GTS like EMRE, give advice on technical issue, recommendation, risk assessment etc globally. One of ex-colleague join there after got Ir. Last May, I've met one of GTS guy (Indian) during IEM course, he need to fly to Sarawak after the course as need to do some assesment on Shell LNG facilities.Very humble person.

I was in Singapore for a few years with an American ib (One of those known IB you probably heard about) before I join an American hedge fund but base in their Malaysian branch a few years ago. So I never work for a Malaysian ib. (Now my company plans to close their malaysia branch and merge them with their Singapore branch by the end of this year so I will have to be back there again..)

Ib is very hard work and usually people only work until 40 years old but by that time they are multi millionaires and that is in USD not rm. Their commission after every deal with clients is between tens of thousands to tens of millions. I got bored working the dealling desk in Singapore like I got bored doing wireline in SLB my attention span is too short to do the same thing day in day out. Hedge fund (quant fund) seems to jive well with my character so far. Everyday is a different day here.

Edit: I use to joke with my ex colleague saying that had I stayed on longer on the dealling desk I would have turn into a rogue trader out of boredom and would have brought down the whole bank like how barings bank was brought down by a trader turned rogue in the 90s. So it was really for a charitable cause that I left.

i am close to 5 months now after SI. probably we're in the same boat lol. i've already stopped calling them to follow up, as i noticed that the answer is the same every single time i called them.

So you waited 10 months? Wow, so you follow up with HR like how frequent? And did they call you about the offer, or just email you about it?
