From some hardware shop in Klang (near LaSalle Klang). They even had a dremel for sale at that shop. Trust these small town people to stock what you really need.

Eh eh sidewinderz dude, how did you take off the top bit of your Lian li case la to send to ian la?

There's no way for u to remove the top panel unless u wanna drill out all the rivets n remove the top panel.

Har. Now oni u realise ar? laugh.gif M3 thumbscrews dont exist except the LL ones. If u want sumthin a lil more fancy then u need to find M3 capscrews. Those r nice but more troublesome coz u need an allen key for them.

eh? u use sunbeam thumbscrew on ur lian li! can fit ka? cause sunbeam state that it fit most cases except lian li, this is the one rite? sweat.gif

is this the m3 capscrews u're talking about?

[attachmentid=160792]
*
The rivets r replaced by new rivets n it looks just like the original. U wont even notice that the rivets haf been removed. Unless u use caveman methods like hammer n chisel to remove the rivets lar. laugh.gif

I haf the same exact Sunbeam thumbscrews as the blue 1s in ure pic n they dont fit my V1200.

Yes that's the capscrew I'm talking about.

haiya if u want just the color then it's just kacang putih to get it looking like the pix. Easy peasy.

The reason I want the Sunbeams is coz I like the big knob design. The 1s I haf r the Black set of 10 in that link. It's a nice big knob design n very easy to use. Unfortunately they dont fit the LL.

And I'm sure, driving around in your Proton, you wonder why, why, why would anyone pay top dollar for a BMW or *gasp* a Porsche. You could bling-out your ride with the big spoiler, gargantuan exhaust and enough neon to light up the local pasar-malam with far less damage to the bank account. Good for you.

... but to each his own. The guys on this forum appreciate the clean aluminum bezels from the house of Ah-Lian (siput anniversary model excluded). Allow us our pleasure (and spare us the thick and heavy comment).
*
Hahaha. That's a damn good explanation by MacDaddy himself.

pay a visit as the products always short on hand....

Goes way up to 1000+. IIRC the S80 is 1000+.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Dec 4 2006, 09:59 AM)
Anyone thought of putting a layer of polish over the bare aluminum of LL's to minimize oxidisation?
*
Nonid polish lar. If u use those alu n stainless cleaner sprays like what tyrion bought, the 3M thingy, it leaves a very very light layer of oil behind. That shud protect the alu enuf.

agreed its expensive but if u work with the casings, u would know the dif, the built quality, the thot that goes into designing these casings, the fit, the materials used, not saying its perfect, its not.....but almost la biggrin.gif
*
It's perfect from my POV man. Everytime sum1 sends me a Lian Li for modding, I'm damn happy. The build quality is #1. It's the only case that never cuts my hands when I mod. Every edge is nice n rounded. Those who work with PCs a lot will know exactly what I mean. Those cheap cases, everytime open up sure will kena cut by 1 of the edges sumwhere 1. vmad.gif

Hey Ian... the V's HDD cage etc are rivetted or screw?
*
The new models r all screwed. U can remove them if u want. The older 1's r riveted. My Plus model is screwed so i guess Plus models onwards shud all be screwed. Also, the problem that the old V1000 had with long PSUs is banished.

Hey, does anys of yous knows wheres to gets small canisters of compressed air? (for busting dust bunnies). I understand you can use just a simple static free cloth but i'd like to use something to get in between small little crevices and sensitive parts (don't want to knock off a cap in an overzealous attempt to get things clean).

Aiyoooooooooooooooo, I've posted my can of air so many times until ppl fed up of seeing oso I think. laugh.gif Anyway, 1 more time just for u.....................................
