Anyone did this before? I MNP from iDigi plan (already two years+) to the new Celcom first Basic 38. Went to Celcom center and fill in the form and they gave me a simcard, thats all. No receipt no payment needed, I was like what? There is no proves of me doing the MNP or whatsover, may I know is this normal or what? How long should I wait? Thanks in advance unsure.gif

no issue about bil. they will count the bil as per day basis. i not sure how. but nothing goes wrong about the bil. i was on postpaid at digi and maxis. celcom and umobile i only get a prepaid sim.

just for ur info, if u in a postpaid plan, u cannot simply change to prepaid (same network) they will ask u to MNP to other network first. i donno why rclxub.gif

for celcom first basic 38, it depends on the owner who operate the shop. by right, in celcom FAQ, when apply for basic 38, applicant need to pay 1st month bill in advance...but there are shops who didn't take any advance payment. like in my case..apply for my wife, need to pay RM38+6% gst. however in my friend case, no need pay in advance.

I MNP from umobile to celcom, took 3 days to take effect. 3rd day evening.

The staff said 3 to 5 days for MNP.

I did it at Jalan Ampang Blue Cube/Celcom. No advance payment.

My father MNP his line from Maxis to Celcom at Tesco Station 18 (dealer stall) also no advance payment.

Funny thing is on next day he got a SMS said MNP not successful and he need to cancel his line at Maxis and apply again.

He called me later that he called Maxis to cancel his line. I told him no need to cancel else he won't get back his original number.

I suspect the dealer try to play dirty because of his number is nice. By tricking my father to cancel Maxis line and he won't be able to get back the same number then the dealer can get that number from Maxis.

Anyway, long story short. I told him to go directly to actual Celcom Shop to clarify and he did. At the same time luckily Maxis customer service called him asked for reason of the cancel. Then no cancel of line at Maxis. Within the same day, he got his line ported to Celcom.

One of the condition for successful MNP is existing line must be active.

should report the shop to celcom, Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia (TTPM), and SKMM.

Anyone experienced porting from Digi to Celcom while still on contract?

Interested to register for First Basic 38 but still have 5 months in the contract.

And how's the LTE coverage in Ipoh?

Better ask Digi. I think need to convert your supplement line to main line first at Digi only can convert to Celcom

i went to celcom to mnp my sub line to first basic 38

apparently failed. vmad.gif

so the correct procedure will be condition precedent :

1. convert from sub to principle line within Digi

2. ETA 48 hours to take effect, then only MNP to celcom

doh.gif
