That's not true. I have a hotlink tablet plan bought in 2014, used for two years without issue, then topped up in November 2016, and it expired in Feb 2017. Basically the plan got changed, and it affected plan purchased in the past. If your plan still show validity and internet plan expiring at same date, then it is probably still ok. Not sure why Maxis want to do this. It is not like those on such plan are hogging their bandwidth due to extremely limited amount of quota. It is really merely for light use only.
