I just got a SCPH7006 Ps2 slim charcoal black...but its hard to play the DVD...........i put in the DVD on the tray...close it...then press reset to standby mode then press reset again...the game still not playing. .....can u guys tell the correct way..10s.

Is it a new unit or a refurbished unit? If its a new unit, it shouldn't behave that way. It'll boot up and chances of reading the disc successfully is 99% unless there is something wrong with your lens or modchip.

my friend had hard time booting his game too
maybe its the problem with slim ps2 + cheap modchip offered by shop

i notice his "playstation2" logo is distorted during start up too..

if its new. then mayb its the modchip. my friend also got this problem.

i got problem like this also........a lot of new game (especially)....at 1st i tot bcoz of my very old ps2.....but......

1 of the forumers told me to burn that dvd game onto diff blank DVD....
..i am surprise that it works!!......i tink its bcoz the quality of the dvd(game) its not good...thats y can be so cheap.......

i use brand maxell....

Now i know what the prob with the SCPH70002 n SCPH70006........just open the tray n look at the lens diferences.........
