I am definitely interested in getting it. Is anyone sharing shipping or is everyone taking the free shipping option?

March 2007 seems so far away though tongue.gif

Famitsu Gives Assasin's Creed High Marks
November 2, 2007

user posted image

Ubisoft isn't always the most consistent company. Well when project gather a lot of hype and ultimately becomes a successful title, while another appears to be Ubisofts gift to the world doesn't quite translate (see Red Steel). Especially since their last big IP crashed critically (although still sold decently), all eyes have been on Assasin's Creed. Famitsu actually gave the title a 37/40 on their four member rating scale. A decent mark, considering Halo 3 managed to fall into the same category.

We will have to wait until the November release to test the title out for ourselves, but so far things seem on the up and up that Assasin's Creed could really be a big holiday hit this year.

Kristen Bell in Assassin's Creed
November 5, 2007

user posted image

Veronica Mars actress and newcomer to Heroes, Kristen Bell was announced today to be a key character in Assassin's Creed, which will be released later this month. She is said to play an important role in the game's storyline, though details of her character were not revealed.

"I was a big video gamer growing up, so working on Assassin's Creed is my chance to be a part of video game history," said Kristen Bell. "It's something completely different than what I've done before, so it's cool I get to branch out and try another entertainment medium. I was attracted to this project because of the intelligent storyline and the character I play. Plus I admire the artistry of the graphics of video games. I look forward to seeing what my character will look like and I can't wait to play the game and see if I can beat it!"

If you don't remember, she was the one who blew the lid on the game's sci-fi storyline earlier this year.

Assassin's Creed will be a singleplayer game, where you can expect a couple of 2nd hand copies after a while.

COD4 has a very good multiplayer experience. I'll say go for COD4 then wait for 2nd hand copies of Ass Creed to appear.

QUOTE(Gurdian @ Nov 14 2007, 04:39 AM)
sigh...this game...

completely 100% overhyped, massive massive disappointment

and there are many more who think so too

IGN review

i only hope Mass Effect doesn't share the same fate.

COD 4 promised and delivered.

Eternal Sonata wasn't half bad either.

but this game definitely wasn't worth all the talk and arguments about it

Famitsu - 37/40
Teamxbox - 7.9/10
Game Informer - 9.5/10
GamePro - 5/5
GamesRadar - 10/10
GameTrailers - 9.1/10
1UP.com - 7.7/10
IGN - 7.5/10
Gamespot - 9.0/10

3 reviews below 8 (which makes it not half bad as well) while the rest gave it above 9. I believe the game is not a true gen dissapointment. Then again, haven't got the game so based on reviews, I doubt its all doom and gloom.

There are times when GH takes in more stock of a certain games because they expect it to be hot.

this might be one of those times smile.gif
