I'm kinda new in this field. I've heard of data entry before and i've done this job once for my brother and it's like putting information in excel form. That's wat i did before. But i know there must be something more to this. I'm kinda interested in this field as i'm a student and i wanna use my free time to do this. Can someone please tell me what are the required skills that i must have or are there any required programs that i should know to do data entry? And if possible, can someone post any vacancies for part time data entry jobs? Thanks!!!

It may be with any program with any kind of info being keyed in depending on what the company needs

as for the software needed:

Microsoft Office / any other words and spreadsheet editing programs.

This sort of job can either be entering data into a spreadsheet or taking data from documents/files and inserting it into a database. No skills required but being able to type faster while being accurate would enable you to key in more data.

i worked as data entry personnel before last time for gateway computers. key in data for prices, specs and pakages information. whole day doing those thing but it was fun because we were 4 persons in a team so always can chit chat and also we got 1 beautiful supervisor around that also hang aorund with us. we got paid rm1000 per month because consider as contract staff.

but if working alone i sure cannot tahan

* must take note, very big responsibility because like my previous experience, we have to very2 careful with the data if put wrong price for the gateway computers then we are doom!
