Hello there WIFINET SOLUTION SDN BHD is now offering WiFi Hotspot System for Office, Cafe, Restaurant, Hotel, Resort, University & Hospital. The major different of having WiFi Hotspot system is that you are allow to control internet speed of each user who use your WiFi and to block unnecessary website (Porno & Torrent) in away to avoid abusive use of FREE WIFI.

do you know others are already doing this and they actually PAY THE SHOP OWNER for putting wifi there? They generate ads from the wifi and the revenue are being shared. Example, starbucks free wifi.

not sure how much they paying them. It depends on the ads revenue. You can change your business model to something like this.

These company already have established system to install wifi in hotels and other big chain restaurants. And they already have advertisers that will pay them. Your idea is good but you have to compete with them. I am sure there are still market out there.

Starbucks Wifi/Ads service is under Berjaya. Unless you have hundreds of retail location or very high end customers, don't expect such ads service will come and pay you to install their wifi on your store.

There are some smaller ads/wifi agency who have this business model but none are very successful(like Y5 and Wowfi). And they are competing with TMWifi and Celcom Wifi which should have more budget to get high profile restaurant/location.
