In addition to Amedion thread, would like to ask more details.

Situation is like this.

An interested buyer enquire something at 9am. I checked the topic at 12pm same day. Ofcoz I can't reply with indirect bump like UGPM. So instead of replying, I PM him directly and then click on the bump button. It says I can't bump until tomorrow. So I was forced to hit the reply button instead of bump. Then I get a 10% warning.

So... sleep.gif

So you've sent him the PM, and he will know whether there's new PM coming in or not

So what is the need of the BUMP button or "UGPM" reply anyway? He should be able to read the PM even before he checks out the thread.

In addition to what samurai1337 said, your post in question was:-

"Semua ada PM dan semua PM replied tongue.gif"

and

"All PM replied."

Both are indirect bumps.

I know they are indirect bump, but I haven't bump my thread for the day. So I use the reply function to bump my thread coz the bump button don't allow me to do so.

The problem is, I haven't BUMP for the day. And I can't hit the BUMP button even after 24 hours of my last bump because some interested buyer replied to my post.

You can't BUMP because the bump button won't let you. The bump button won't let you because someone has already posted on that thread on that day - which means your thread has technically been brought up the index already, hence it doesn't need to be bumped again.

If the person replied (bump) my thread at 12.01am, means I can't bump it for the day. So as a threadstarter I have to waste 1 day and let my thread sink to the end of the page. Is that what you mean?

This can be abused by people then. If you have a grudge on some seller, just go and reply their thread at 12.01am biggrin.gif

Then you are bumping that thread up - the thread goes up the index and gains prominence. Is 12.01am really that bad a time to have your page up the index?

if your thread is famous, you have a big advantage..your thread can/will be bumped many times, since people would be asking alot of questions.. biggrin.gif

More people will be on LYN during daytime compared to midnite. That's from my observation. It's useless to have your thread up during midnite but far behind during daytime. Anyway, I'd close this then. I don't see this going anywhere worth discussing.
