I would seriously offer a prize to anyone who can solve this problem for me:-

I need to keep all the appointments, calendar items, tasks, address book, contacts (with its categories and details same) on ALL my devices, having them sync whenever connected, and updating itself with the latest changes from whichever device I make changes on. Details of my devices:-

1. PC-Windows2000
2. Macbook
3. XDAIIi-Windows Mobile 2003SE
4. Motorola V3X (coming soon)

Thanks!

What's the prize....?

All of the 4 items...? rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Get PocketMac or Missing Sync... as for your Motorola, I'm not sure if there's a specific software to run in tandem of iSync on your Mac....

unless I get the wrong idea here.... sweat.gif sweat.gif

Tried both and almost lost all my data. At the moment I have no problem between my PC and XDA, it syncs flawlessly on everything whenever connected. When I tried Missing Sync/PocketMac, it almost wiped out my data thinking the empty database on my Mac is the latest.

Furthermore both Missing Sync and PocketMac do not recognise all the details I set in my contacts (ie categories, address, emails, pager, fax).

With a V3X coming, needless to say my troubles doubled.

it can be done... but you'll have to get a programmer to build a software for you... because hardly anyone wants to do what you want.

Basically, you're trying to sync data across 4 different platforms ... and no real standard system across smile.gif

Good luck...

As the archetypal geek in-the-family/at-the-workplace I am frequently asked to solve problems similar to this one. Every time it happens; I sigh and explain how my time in providing tech-support is NOT free and that while I could solve the problem at hand; it would likely involve taking posession of thier first-born/landed property etc. etc.

Actually I lie.

I couldn't figure out how to make the four devices above talk to each other any more than Kofi Anand could make the Israeli's talk to Hezbollah. I can't even figure out why anyone would be still using Windows 2000 (Haven't you heard of the RM5 CD "starter-pack" XP installers available at LYP?). And that XDA.... Don't even want to get started on that...

In any case, your V3x should work with iSync with the following caveats:

Cant really change my PC-Windows, company PC. Out of all the 4, seems like the XDAIIi is the one serving me best with all those contacts/appointments etc.

About Apple's support on the V3X, its not really convincing I'll get the same results as on my XDA.

Anyway I guess I have an option to try, that is:-

PC-Windows sync with my XDA

PC-Windows "exports" database to my Mac via
http://www.littlemachines.com/download.php

Then sync my Mac with the V3X...

civic.... what i'd recommend:
1. XDA synchronize with PC via Microsoft Outlook and Active Sync.
2. XDA sync with iCal in Macbook.
3. iCal sync with V3x via Bluetooh.

Currently, i'm doing the following:
1. Outlook sync with SonyEricsson using PC Suite.
2. SE phone sync with iCal via Bluetooth.

Works perfectly...

WM2003SE XDA cant sync with Mac. Chicken and Duck talk.

Like I mentioned, with either Missing Sync or Pocketmac the details get screwed up.

I guess the main problem here may have been due to me getting too used to WM2003SE XDA's contacts format, entered too much details, company name, addresses, notes, pager, fax, emails.... Too much details to convert.

I AM using Activesync like I said, no problems.
