if buying sneakers just for fashion, then anything will be alright. if for serious running, I recommend a very good site that gives serious reviews on running shoes, you'd be surprised that many flashy brands got thrashed, they spent their own $$$ to buy the shoes for testing, sometimes they even cut open the shoes to check the component materials. Some big name brands got criticized heavily for not being honest!!! Really worth checking this out for serious runners: http://www.solereview.com/list-of-performance-reviews/The current highest rated products are Saucony Ride 7, New Balance 1500 V1, Nike Air Pegasus 31, Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14, and those Adidas Boost series.

QUOTE(dertwert @ Feb 2 2016, 10:05 AM) Wow, excellent link there, just what I needed when looking a good pair. Thanks a lot. glad it helps. I just searched for reviews on a shoe and accidentally found this link http://www.solereview.com/list-of-performance-reviews/i'm quite surprised to learn that newer models may not be better than an older version, like: Asics Gel Kayano 20 - 87 Asics Gel Kayano 21 - 85 Asics Gel Kayano 22 - 66 Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14 - 90 Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 - 88 Nike Air Pegasus 30 - 87 Nike Air Pegasus 31 - 94 Nike Air Pegasus 32 - 85 Saucony Ride 8 - 83 Saucony Ride 7 - 95 compared with other major review sites like runnersworld, this solereview's reviews are more in depth and serious. of course, any review we shouldn't treat like absolute truth, but rather as a very good reference. happy hunting!!
