Looking for a sports shoe where the soles are durable (I notice some soles are terribly designed which I can see being smooth after 1 year or so, I'm looking at you Nike/Addidas and most mainstream brands) and is comfortable to wear, be it soft in soles or gel being used.

Currently looking at the Gel Asics Nimbus 18...

I thought this Ultra boost shoes was already available at the Addidas store? That's what I notice in Mid Valley?

Or is that last year's model?

This goes for RM339 or so. Despite having harder outsoles (which means better grip and durability), it does give somewhat more cushioning/more bouncy than my current skechers. Insoles are noticeable firmer as well, which I think might for better durability. Design is nicer too.

Thing is, would you guys spend on a Skechers shoe or on a Nike like below?:

Will be using it as my daily casual shoe. Outfit will mostly be T shirt + shorts for walking around the mall/jalan jalan etc.
I do have my Nike Air Max but it's too sporty looking and heavy/padding too thick. Looking for something more casual looking and lighter/less padding/more airy.

The NB 247 Sports !!

Design wise, it looks quite casual, not too sporty. Design is nice, quite lightweight, soft mesh material and durable outsoles !!

Guys, I'm actually thinking about getting the New Balance 247 as my daily wear [outfit= t shirt and shorts] which is about RM399.

Just wondering, what's the cheapest Addidas NMD/Pureboost/Ultraboost in Malaysia now? I know there are several variants which is quite confusing and also I don't really see them in stores due to the exclusivity?

Might consider those Addidas if they're not too expensive over the NB247 smile.gif

I'm looking at an alternative to the New Balance 247, something with a comfortable midsole like the Revlite. Can I assume all Revlite are made of the same material and are equally comfortable?

Will be going to London next month and don't mind getting some sneakers that I can't get here. I'm also looking at Ultra boost by Addidas but the mid sole spot foam is white and can be easily drained/dirtied. Quite scared it won't stay white after a while sad.gif

Looking for a pair of sneakers that's casual looking, not too fancy or sporty.

I saw their website already published this. not sure about retail.
Last week i dont see this, only 247 Breathe (NB & SoleWhat) ...  saturday will go mall to check out.

Anyway I got it already. Cost me 80 pounds after claiming VAT.

Got it here in London since it's already available. No guarantee retailers would be bringing in Luxe 247 to Malaysia and I think the price difference wouldn't be much..

from my experience shoe protector is really makes a difference on suede shoes.
even if there's no dirt on them, suede tend to get water spots easily which can be really ugly.
with some coating it will repel water, and will make the color stay longer too.

i have not tried sprays on knit fabric though. i assume they will make cleaning much easier.

I've never used a shoe protector before. I assume it's those oleophobic layer it gives to the shoe?

Just a quick question, are the outer soles of the Ultraboost & Pureboost durable? They seem quite shallow and the rubber doesn't seem like it would last a while.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Sneakers/comments/...ost_durability/

Eyeing the Pureboost RBL/GO/DPR

Would be using them every week as casual shoes (no running).

p/s: RBL seems to have a much better outer sole; thicker and seems more durable compared to the other shoes from Adidas (Ultraboost ATR has a similar outer sole too)

UB outsole should be more durable thn Pureboost bcs UB is using Continental rubber...while Pureboost is not..

No, they're not durable, they're not made for durability anyway

Been rotating a few pairs of UBs , my longest standing UB is 2 y.o which was used twice a week during that 2 years period

Also, apparently the RBL has an upper knit that is splash resistant <--- where one reviewer mentions it gets warm after a while due to the lack of ventillation. I guess this is a good shoe to wear during winter.

Is the UB series much better than Pureboost though?

no idea about the atr nor rbl

UB is the flagship running shoes of adidas

no idea about pureboost, never tried it before but i dare to say UB is the second most comfortable shoes I ever had

and I can get UB at Pureboost price, so why not? brows.gif

Thanks bros cheers.gif

Might be getting my shoes from JDSports, sounds good? They seem to offer better prices from the official Adidas stores..

I saw this at Jdsports. It's an ultraboost, cheap huh? Only concern is the top "flap" which I think might get loose after a while

Is it alright to put my ultraboost uncaged under running water while washing it ?

Also, any tips on extending the lifespan on the Continental soles, a lot of people are saying it isn't durable at all.
