Saw the news on the chukkas this morning. I can safely say that the risk of those selling out are next to nil.

Just sharing my observation on the Wood Wood UB on-line release on Saturday. They released at 6 a.m. Malaysia time so as I was up early (due to my baby), I figured what the hell ... just try to see if it is actually possible to try to get these on-line. I tried on Slam Jam and Hanon by the way.

To cut a long story short, I honestly don't think it is actually possible to get these on-line for us here. Their servers will crash and by the time it's back up, everything will be sold out.

This got me thinking, why bother releasing it on-line if you don't have the IT infrastructure to handle such a load? I believe users who are geographically closer to the respective sites servers (i.e. UK for Hanon and Italy for Slam Jam) are those who actually stand a chance. Might as well have an in-store release/on-line raffle or something like that to make sure everyone has a fair go at the sneakers.

As for us here, our best chance is a Sole What/Crossover x Adidas collab not too far in the future tongue.gif
*
u mean shorter response time to the server right? that does make sense
ill also say that even those closer dont fair that much better either, too little stock too many buyers, luck is at maybe 5%, 95% of others will get an error screen
and then there's the botters issue, but even so botters STILL need to fight amongst other botters
i too was online for the wood wood release managed to add to cart but no further than that, upon checkout stock was gone

i think they do release it online because its a service obligation provided by their shops
iirc some kith nyc releases are instore only

u mean the forwarding company will jack up the final price??
me and my colleagues has been using hopshopgo for the third year already and we never face this kind of problem though smile.gif
we always bulk order (from various online store/website) then have these merchant send to hopshopgo and one go send back to m'sia
and we saved quite a lot as we always wait for the "EXTRA" mark down or discount then only buy smile.gif
*
nah i mean using forward service is expensive

Hiya, need some advice here. I really like this Fred Perry shoe but I feel like the price is a bit too much (RM659), its almost marked up by RM 200 as it only retails of 75 pounds in the UK. I did consider buying it online but then it adds to the same price when shipping cost is included. So do you think it's worth the money?

Plus, any recommendations for similar shoe styles, preferably below RM500.00?

Ones for my cousin

They r super comfy! No lah just like normal socks. Should be the same as my tubular doom primeknit
*
yea but these are more sock like!
i mean i can wash my socks and all but this ... hmmm

u mention these soles collect pebbles, thats common even on nike free they are a magnet for road pebbles
i dont even bother removing them out anymore

this also means the sole is very flexible

here we go again

As part of the 2016 adidas Consortium tour, Solebox brings back the logo-less silhouette inspired by the shop district’s coat of arms, which translates into this beautiful tan/red colorway of the Ultra Boost Uncaged. The heel-cup is also re-designed and features a debossed Solebox logo, while the shop’s signature S logo can be seen on the tongue pull-tabs. Expect these to release this Saturday, March 12th, at Solebox, with a global release arriving after.

Speaking of Solebox, I last heard that Hikmet has left? Anyone know what the reason was for his departure?

With regards to the Boosts; even on that Solebox pair, the gluework seems kind of suspect. I really wonder how these will stand the test of time. I've heard that many of the Boost soles have already yellowed prematurely? Is this true? My pair of Boosts are hidden somewhere, but they've only been worn twice and boxed so I can't remember.

Iirc they were 3 variants, vanilla which wore out pretty fast but later updated to continental, and the ST versions which is thicker

What they like ? I had the 2002 OG ones very comfy but on wet surfaces the water motion tends to seep into the toebox

In addition, you’ll also find black detailing within the adidas NMD’s lacing system, heel tab, outsole and EVA inserts. The “Olive Camo” colorway of the adidas NMD will release on March 23 for a price of $170 USD.
