QUOTE(Andrewhajime @ Jan 18 2007, 07:04 PM) thats probably because of the undersea cables problem..guys.. i don't know why its like this, but my torrents seem to download faster when i'm uploading more.. means that the dl speed will increase when i'm upping.. i tried to limit my uploads to 10kbps once.. and my down speed came down.. but when i turned the limit off, the speed went up for both up n down.. anybody else experience this? |

QUOTE(tan_pang @ Jan 21 2007, 07:46 AM) i agree that we should make research first before we start bittorrent ok so which is it?.. coz Akapane says thats the way torrent works.. the more you upload, the more you are allowed to download. But if you think about this, which party is controlling the speed? It will be either application controlled or tracker controlled. The tracker is literally used for tracking, as its name sake. Does it monitor and control peer's downloading and uploading speed? So if its not the tracker, then its the client software? If thats the case, why would we want to use a software that limits our connection speeds to other peers? There must be a software out there that are restriction free, right? but about the limit upload will decrease download... there is no such things except if you use private tracker Torrent gurus out there, please help. |

I heard our ISP can control the bandwidth if they detect your packets are related to bittorent.
The solution is to encrypt your bittorent packets. Check out this link on how to solve this problem. I've tried it and it works. http://torrentfreak.com/how-to-encrypt-bittorrent-traffic/ |

I believe everyone already knew this method when it is first introduce. But still, cant bypass telekom traffic shaping devices.. cant connect to international peers The solution is to encrypt your bittorent packets. Check out this link on how to solve this problem.
