since day 1, since installation of streamyx, but not all day at that speed though, sometimes i do get 20KBps and below maybe due to poor quality of torrent, so, i just download a new *.torrent, and see the speed, if there's a improvement, i'll stick to it, if not, i just delete it and download new one wink.gif...

same the way you install nVIDIA nForce, from there, it'll ask you which one you want to setup, just untick/uncheck the nVIDIA FireWall

Torrent and BitTorrent Join Forces
QUOTE
+++++

This is Bram Cohen, the creator of the BitTorrent protocol, and Ludvig (Ludde) Strigeus, the writer of Torrent.

Together, we are pleased to announce that BitTorrent, Inc. and Torrent AB have decided to join forces. BitTorrent has acquired Torrent as it recognized the merits of Torrent's exceptionally well-written codebase and robust user community. Bringing together Torrent's efficient implementation and compelling UI with BitTorrent's expertise in networking protocols will significantly benefit the community with what we envision will be the best BitTorrent client.

What does this mean for the Torrent community? Not much, at least not at first. The intention is to maintain the website as it is, and keep the forums and community active. Moving forward behind the scenes, we will continue to develop Torrent and will be using the codebase in other applications, especially ones where a fast, lightweight implementation is more suitable, such as embedded systems on TVs, cell phones, and other non-PC platforms.

The existent Torrent and BitTorrent communities are immensely valuable to us, which is why we are announcing this here first to make sure you're all the first to know about the news. The plan is to continue to foster the health and growth of the community that has been critical to the success of Torrent. Thank you in advance for your support.

Bram and Ludde

I changed from bitcomet to utorrent. Surprisingly seeing faster 10x. Bitcomet I download only around 5kB/s, while on utorrent will be around 50kB/s. shocking.gif

But once I letting my utorrent run, my I.E, MSN, Firefox all very slow. What is the best advice to limit the download speed for every client?

usually BitComet will rename it's file to *.bc (unfinished/not-yet finished) download, well, you can delete this *.bc (last 2 character) to make it to original filename, and at Torrent, you set the downloaded/downloading file to that (the file you downloaded with BitComet) directory...hope you get what i mean, doh.gif, just got out of bed tongue.gif

that's because Torrent eating up all your bandwidth tongue.gif, well, me myself too don't know how-to resolve it, but everytime i'm on torrent, i just let the PC torrenting, means, i'm not surfing, maybe playing single player games?...tongue.gif

I second this. I switched from Azureus to Utorrent. With Azureus it sucks all the RAM and slows down my machine tremendously. Never regreted making the change.
