KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 — The Familia Myvi Club (FMC) may be deregistered if it was involved in the car crash on the Duke highway last weekend that killed a couple and their baby, the Registrar of Societies (RoS) has said.

RoS director-general Mohammad Razin Abdullah was quoted by local daily Berita Harian today as saying that if the registered motoring club had broken any laws, it would be deregistered.

“Each club and organisation has to be approved by RoS after undergoing thorough inspection with us, including the purpose and aim of starting the club.

“If the application is against the law or can disrupt public peace, it will not be approved by the RoS,” Razin was quoted saying.
