My parent's house use aluminium grille. It can help to prevent intruder. But nothing more than that. I would say it is much easier to break.

Of course durable. No paint problem.

I would say you may use it if you live in a low crime rate area. Or if your house equip with alarm

Pricing wise not sure. It was 10years ago. But cheapest.2k for the whole house.
I dont think metal is any better. Still the weakest part of grille are at the joints, lock, etc.

Using aluminum grill are not wrong, basically if someone already mark a target on your house, using steel and put 10 dogs also no point.
But using aluminum you won't have rust problems.

Haha, true also. I just want to know what is the pricing like and feedback from those using as my mom is totally against using aluminium, saying it is flimsy and inferior compared to metal :-)

Iron > aluminum > steel.
Whole house should be rm4000-6000, if you have sliding doors, it will be more expensive.
If your house is still not renovated and got sliding door, suggest to seal it and replace it with window.
The weakest point in a house is the sliding door.

Was at the Homedec yesterday and one vendor quoted aluminium grilles price of RM110/sq ft for the sliding door and RM35/sq ft for windows. Don't know if this price is considered normal market price.

They are giving 20% discount if sign up with them during the fair.

People always have wrong perception on metals in this world.
All metal will oxidized, only have to see does that metal active or reactive towards the substance exposed.

Basically only near the kitchen you need to take more care, other places just install and case closed icon_rolleyes.gif
Survey in home fair are wasting time, just look for your local shops and start from there.

Rental on the floor is rm10000 minimum, other stuffs have to add on.
So a fair they got business or not, rm20-30k gone.
So how they can give a good price?
