Even if they weren't it doesn't justify what the myvis were doing. Even if they had survived (seatbelt or not) they would still be badly injured because of someone elses stupidity.

In this footage seems like the black pajero drove with normal speed as compared to the next car. Then came faster myvi cars together with a black vellfire

regarding the seatbelt issue, lemme say something from personal experience of my close fren. my fren and his worker (worker is the driver) inside his kembara, high centre of gravity car, lost control at 50+km/h and hit a FEW trees (palm trees, small ones), and barrel rolled, even with seatbelts, the driver end up laying on my fren the passenger, totally shifted seat. so it's possible.

another of my fren who passed away in a car accident, was hit at the driver side by a car that beat the red light, my fren didn't fly out of the car but his car was flying in the air eventhough he just start moving from traffic light, so healso shifted over to the passenger side, even with seatbelts, and die on the spot.

so we don't know the real impact speed of the myvi but the pajero seemed to bend A LOT from being hit at the driver side. even with seatbelts, the driver and passenger could still fly out of the car even with seatbelts

you clearly don't have children, no one carry baby infront can wear seatbelt, want to breasfeed, etc2....even police also understand and will you get away if roadblock

i have baby same age as victim. can breastfeed, give them in bottle lah. and never, ever remove baby from car seat until you arrive at destination. ever! my baby cry 3 hours also i dont care. safety first.  teach this early on. sooner or later they don't cry anymore when you buckle them up. just go to sleep.

then again having said that...some baby seat are less safer than the others. recently got one case car totalled but the newborn baby in the Recaro baby seat still alive.

Speed limit is 110 in Malaysia that's whats wrong, if his not driving at 130 that scenario doesn't happen. TS says they are on the overtaking lane with a long line of cars, so basically they are cruising on that lane instead of taking the overtaking approach.
